I always fell for the theme to 1942. This heavy ochestral sound made me think of the propaganda posters to go join the army. So IG has theme of 1942 to it.
Also for Ig would be brothers in arms by dire straights. Great song.
General song is the battle of Evermore. The title says it all.
Dark eldar have golden age of leather by blue oyster cult.
Also unit specific I love don't fear the reaper for the night bringer. Amazing song, fits perfectly.
I tend to be a jazz guy so most of my music knowledge is wasted here.

Blood Angels; Theme tune to any Dracula movie
All I got so far
Nah I was thinking of the one by The Automatic; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3AUhE5nggPY Simply because of the lyric 'What's that coming over the hill? Is it a monster'
"There's too much blood in my caffeine system!!"
Students around the world
Not necessarily the lyrics but I just think the female singer sounds Eldarish ;P
And sorry to use a tribute video, but I just don't know the name of the original song...
Chaos Space Marines, the lyrics just suit it so well (imagine they be addressing the Emprah innit):
I also considered this fitting for my guard army, but I doubt anyone will agree with me

40k
Space Marines: Way too cliche for "We are the champions" by Queen, Now maybe "Indestructible" by Disturbed.
Dark Angels: This is too easy "The Unfogiven" by Metallica.
Space Wolves: "Born To Be Wild" by Steppenwolf. Pretty much any hard party music will do... I could picture them playing "In Taberna" by Corvus Corax.
Blood Angels: "Dragula" by Rob Zombie, "Can I play with Madness" by Iron Maiden.
Necrons: It just MUST be "Tubthumping" by Chumbawumba ("I get knocked down but I get back up again you ain't ever gonna keep me down..." ain't that the truth) but if we must go all gothic about it: I really think "Dead Souls" NIN would do it.
Tau: "Having a Blast" by Green Day, If caught in melee I would say "Run for the Hills" by Iron Maiden. "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" by Daft Punk
Tyranids: Maybe "Fade to Black" by Apoptygma Berzerk?
Orks: Oh, I must say "The Mob Rules" by Black Sabbath, or "Leaders and Followers" by Bad Religion, "Free Your Hate" by KMFDM.
Sisters of Battle: "Fire Burning" by Sean Kingston, "Hey, Soul Sister" by Train, "Little Sister" by Queens of the Stone Age.
Chaos Space Marines: "Losing my Religion" by REM, "Violent Mood Swings" by Stabbing Westward, "Nemesis" by Shriekback, "Space Lord" by Monster Magnet
Dark Eldar: "When your Evil" by Voltaire, "New Pain" by Static-X, "King of Pain" by the Police, "Hurt" hmm.. NIN or Johnny Cash or Absurd Minds... you pick.
Imperial Guard: "Soldier Side" by System of a Down, "Boom, Boom, Pow" by Black Eyed Peas, "Bodies" by Drowning Pool.
Eldar: "Save Yourself" by Stabbing Westward, "Menofearthereaper" by Pop Will Eat Itself, "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead.
Inquisition: "Heads Will Roll" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs,
Gray Knights: One Man Army by Our Lady Peace (the lyrics work oddly enough). "Sophia" by Cruxshadows (Knight errant song if I ever heard one).
General 40k atmosphere music: "Know Your Enemy" by Greenday, "Nightmares" by Last Dance, "Uprising" by Muse, "Schism" by Tool, "Wasteland" by The Mission, "Silver Future" by Monster Magnet, "When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000,
Warhammer:
Skaven: "Sleeping Beast" by Skinny Puppy seems to work for me... not sure why.
Vampire Counts: "Darkside" by Gothminister or "Nightmares" by Last Dance.
Dwarves: "The Grudge" by Tool, "Building Steam" by Abney Park.
Empire: "Many Moons Ago..." by Empyrium (funny that) or "Domina" by Potntia Animi
Will see what else I have in my collection to add...
Wow... I think I like your tastes.
I have always thought of Megadeth's Blood Of Heroes for Blood Angels, and Metallica's Disposable Heroes for the Imp Guard. One of my Chimeras has Disposable Heroes painted on the dozer blade
For the Emperor! Kill Maim Burn!... I mean purge the unclean!
Though this isn't for any specific army, you can imagine this being with any army.
Imagine, a drawn out fight in a crumbling Imperial city. You are running through the streets with your squad, your mission complete. All that matters now is getting to your transport to escape. You try to avoid the falling debris, as it has already claimed a portion of your squad. Overhead, you can see your side's Titans clash with enemy Titans. You can't tell if you're winning, but one thing is certain; all have taken grievous amounts of damage. The ground shakes, to the point where you're struggling to keep your footing. The battle is clearly intense.
