I like it. He looks like he just got stepped on by a Titan and shook it off.

I think he still needs... something. But he's probably my best overall work.

Just going by what the title of the thread is about. This is probably my best painted model.

Wet blending, pearl shading, fabric fishnets, chrome enamel, and a diorama base built from scratch.

She just isn't Fantasy or 40K based.

As you can see, I used the time tested strategy: exactly copy with the GW studio people did.

I'm not smart enough to think of what looks cool. I let the experts do that, and then follow their lead.

I don't know about that. I could base quite a few fantasies on her.

@Jayden63 Dont worry about the subject. Personally I'd like to see a larger variation of models and subjects on this forum.

It looks great btw. Do you mean you used real cloth for the fishnets ? And what do you mean by 'pearl Shading' ? ive not heard that term before.

Is it just me or does "pearl shading" sound slight seedy?

Yup the fishnets are under batting for big poofy dresses. Makes a wonderful scaled down large hole fishnet design. "Pearl shading" should have been typed as "pearl blending." Its adding pearl flakes to paint to give it an iridescent/shimmering effect. I guess you could get the same effect by just buying pearl paints at an arts and crafts type store. I used that on all of her clothing, shows up much better IRL than in the pics. If you use a close up flash the effect shows up very nicely, but other aspects of the model get washed out or over lightened.

The model looks great and I'm very intregued by the 'pearl blending'. Could you perhaps post a picture made with flash?

Here are a few more examples.

On this one its the blue of her outfit. I really like the way the effect turned out on this one.

And on this one the light blue covering her chest.

Here you can see it pretty good on this guys Kimono.

For the extra curious here is a link to my resin garage kit gallery. Some of the figures are probably NSFW. There is nothing what I would call explicit there, just some naked resin boobies on some of them.

http://www.pbase.com/jayden63/resin_models

I just realized looking at these figures that the only colors I've really tried using pearl in is blue and dark green. LOL. I'm currently working on a figure mixing pearl into white and red. We will have to see how that turns out.

FW resin - and thank you.

Hrm, how large is it? I wonder if there are any instances of folks picking up oils and using those, although I would be concerned if any of the chemicals would effect the resin.

Sorry, forgot to add my contribution.

Would have to be my CoL Terminator Lord. I've started work on them again, with the addition of some bikes and a Landraider, so I should have an update to me blog in a week or two I think.
