Sorry, but this must be coincidence. I'd like to assure you that BattleScribe does not connect to the internet and does not steal any usernames or passwords for anything. The only thing it may use the internet for is to download and install Java (from the official Sun/Oracle site) during setup - and only if you need it.
After finding the true source of my battle.net troubles I want to apologize for any negativity my post might have generated towards your editor.
That being said, it is a fantastic little piece. Thanks!

RanTheCid wrote:Can the Game System Editor be used to create files for percentage based systems like Fantasy Battle and Ancients Battles?
Not as yet - since WFB 8 came out I realised of missed this. I'll post this on the UserVoice page and include in the next release. You can set min/max points levels on unit categories in Game System Editor, so it would be possible to figure these out for a certain points level based on the percentages. This isn't ideal though.

Another one to add to UserVoice. I'll include this in a future release.

No problem Deuce, I'm glad you let me know. There's always a chance that a virus or something could get into the installer if my PC was infected. If that was the case I'd obviously want to get it fixed ASAP!

Great program. Was thinking of purchasing Army Builder but so far this is a great alternative (and free).
Include on-the-spot printing and it will surpass AB, IMO.
A few spelling mistakes and some wonky option errors with the tyranid catalogue but it took 30 seconds to sort out with the editor (Broodlord has "Gardened Carapace" and if you uncheck the "collective" box for Tyrant Guard talons the error about having "too many" goes away.

Just downloaded, installed, and did a quick test roster. So far, I like.
Scanned the installer with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and it came up clean. In fact, the scan took longer than downloading and setting up the program, including the system for 40K and catalogs for Orks and SM. I'll be sure to report any issues I may come across on the UserVoice page, but things are looking pretty good right now, especially for a beta!

Found an issue with the NOBZ.
When choosing a Painboy upgrade, the roster automatically fills in the Cybork body which is fine. The problem is that you get an error message stating that you have excess Cybork Bodies selected. Other than that it works great. Thanks for making it free.

Worked pretty well for me. I left some other feedback on the uservoice with things that would make the UI flow a little better but top notch stuff there.
WFB and Warmachine/Hordes files would make it just about perfect a product for me.

Very solid. UI is a bit harder on the eyes than Army Builder, but AB costs $40 for a year, and this is free, so good work! Definitely a viable alternative to AB.

I've never used a roster editor before (besides a spreadsheet), mostly due to price.
I gotta say, this is a great program and much more than I expected. It has done everything I've asked it too in my 15 minute playtest and was super easy to learn. I'll definitely point my friends your way. (Especially the ones who still write an illegible paper list.)
For the price of this program, its an awesome buy (download).

It lists Chaplains' jump packs as 25 pts when I'm 98.6% sure they're 15pts. Which leads me to...
The Catalogue Editor. Just brilliant. I figured it out and fixed the above in less than 30 seconds. This extra app has a lot of potential.

In fact, the Multi-Platform version already works just fine on the Mac. The only thing missing is an /Applications icon, which you can easily create using Automator. Might be a nice idea for the next release, package it up as a proper "mac" java app.
No issues found on Mac OS X yet btw.

Just to say that these and issues like them - where you have incorrect points values, missing entries or other army-related problems - are all problems with the catalogue data files. These can be fixed in the short term by firing up Catalogue Editor.
I will be fixing up the files when I get a chance and posting them on the data site. Of course, feel free to email me any updated files at feedback(at)battlescribe.net and I will post them up and credit you

Couple of comments, I'll add more once I actually get it up and running, but it would be a lot easier on the end user if you had an option of bundling all of the files together with an installer to stick them in the proper directory, or at least an option to download them all at once (Really just being picky here, but you wanted feedback!)
Aside from that, after getting the stuff installed, it's an amazing program. I actually like the interface better than AB. Adjusting model count is stupid easy (where it was a relative pain in AB) Options are easy, and finding stuff is easy as well. Two thumbs up, I'll see if I can get some other guys from the gaming group to try it out.
Any plans for a BFG version?

I have found one problem and one bug with the Eldar Codex.
The FD Exarch's Flamer should be 0pts, not 15pts.
While this is easy to fix via the Codex editor, when you do fix it, the Autarch suddenly loses the values which prohibit taking a Laser Lance, unless you've already equipped it with a Jetbike.
Not knowing this I accidentally saved the file, then went into Roster Editor and - when I selected Autarch for another list - it wouldn't let me save the roster. I had to go back into the Codex Editor, find the Autarch value, reset it correctly, and then rewrite the roster with the Autarch in it again from scratch.
Not the end of the world, just annoying...
