Orks is da biggest and da strongest! Jokes aside, It would be cool to be an ork. They are the only race that seem to be having fun in the grimdark future.

Tyranid Hive Tyrant FTW

I would have to pick Eldar or Tau. If for no other reason then their commanders seem to actually care about their troops.

In the end I decided to go with Eldar. Even if the society is dying its still stronger than the Tau will likely ever become, they have better technology, and don't have a caste system...

Sure the whole constant worry about your soul being consumed by Slaanesh would be a bit of a bother... and it would kinda suck leading such a structured life... but I'd rather be smart and unhappy than happy and dumb (I'm looking at you orks ).

In the Grimdark of the 41st, its really the best you're going to do.

'nids are the number one enemy of all the races. Imagine Chaos vs Tyranids, daemons and the warp vs a completely psychic race. It would be Armageddon. If i was on the council of terra I would devise a way to draw the 'nids into the Eye of terror and let them duke it out! The Imperium could just standby and pick off the survivors.

I would have to say a Daemon of Nurgle. Though most are rotten and repulsive, Nurgle is the most kind of all Chaos Gods and you'll still have plenty of fun making some one decay from the inside out.

If not a Deamon, then a herald of Nurgle. A Typhus like sort of herald. Would love to command a swarm of plague infested incests.

I'd certainly be an officer in the Guard.

Guard or some other alien race not seen before and start blowing up on a crappy impiral world.

There are only two races where you don't have to fight and die or be worked to death...so either Eldar or Tau

Ork, definitely. They have all the fun in 40k. They don't live long which is a plus because who wants to spend much time in that universe anyway? Also, Orks never lose!

Kind of shocking that Guard are in the lead, considering the life expectancy.

If I had to pick something other than human, I would pick Orks. Because Orks have fun with their lives.

I can see that a lot of people have chosen orks because they have fun killing stuff.

It's true that the 41st millenium isn't grim or dark for the orks, but rather one big playground

I narrowed it down to a Sister of Battle, Eldar, Ork or possibly Tau (I don't know enough about them to say either way). The retirement plan for all other races suck.

As others have said, an ork's life has the most potential. Being a Mekboy somewhere like Gorkamorka would be fun, just spending my time building bigger and more spectacular gadgets.

An eldar has a long life in a civilised society. The biggest downside is the necessity of the Paths, both the risks caused by straying and of having any tendency to get locked into a single Path, unable to move on.

Lastly, a Sister of Battle. In the grim darkness of the far future, it would be nice to have a god watching your back who isn't threatening to turn you into some non-eucledian gribbly.

I would be a Grey Knight Justicar. I would lead my brother marines through the hells and torments of the warp. Slaying Daemons till the Emperor welcomes me to the Golden Throne where i will join my fellow brothers in the final battle against Chaos! Imperial Guard Kaskrin or Storm Trooper, seems most like US Army Special Forces, which is what I am planning on doing when I am of age. (No...not because CoD)

I would of course pick a front line imperial guard trooper with standard issue MKIII lasgun. Sure, you are constantly fighting the good fight and yes, if you're not killed you will lose limbs to bolt fire, las fire, cannon fire, flamers, plasma fire, claws, teeth, blades, etc. That plus the chance of losing your mind to chaos or being captured by dark eldar doesn't seem too enticing. However you fight for the great God-Emperor where theres is no greater glory. So why not choose a space marine? space marines are dicks and while they are bad ass they are just too godlike to compare myself to.

I'd be an Eldar for long life. Plus the fact that you're a dying race means you have to get to work making babies Its a win win situation

Chaos marine: bezerker or plague. On one hand kill fest and power along with a hnace at deamon hood. On the other neverdieing of age and no pain ever.
