Great looking Eldar. It's true that you don't see alot of Biel-tan Eldar armies. And even fewer that you see are this well painted. I've always been a big fan of the old Armorcast Phantom Titan. I would love to see a nice display base for it!


P.S. I didn't know that you were the guy at Games Day with the awesome Ultramarine costume! I thought it was bloody fantastic! Kudos!

It's been a long, long time since I've updated in here..
Fellow Dakkanut: vwjetta1997 and I plan on a bring what we've got 10,000 points minimum Apocalypse game sometime in the next few months (Which we need to start our own blog for) so I thought I'd lay out what I've need to help out in the Biel-tan's efforts to repel the Tyrannid invasion of one of the maiden worlds within their protectorate.

A 2nd Eldar Revenant Titan to support the fluff that Revenants hunt in pairs as one of an Eldar set of twins are entrusted pilot each Titan while maintaining a psychic link to each other.


And a 2nd Phantom Titan (New Forge World Phantom Titan) just because it one bad mofo.

Some progress on the APOC Army - but staring with a base 2000 points (still waiting on my FW Missile Launchers, so have the Bright Lances in this pic instead).

The latest pics of my Eldar Army - this one 1850 for Mechanicon.



Did a one color job on most of the gems - so need to follow up with one or two more colors on the gems and/or the gloss varnish.

Would like to add more detail on the underside of the vehicles and damaged wraithbone for parts of the tanks that have broken off over time.

Isn't it illegal to have so many titans

Fire Dragons - for some reason, their taxi always gets blown up and then they got shot to bits before arriving at their intended target.

Definitely still have work to do to finish this army up + just got a Forge World Wraithseer - so add that to the unfinished projects list.

So, the plan is to get a 20k per side Apoc Game (that's right a 40k APOC game!) sometime this Spring/Early Summer against my buddy's Nids.
That's the plan - whether or not we can get it together is another story...

I haven't gotten my list hashed out yet - but needless to say, I'll be throwing almost my entire Eldar collection out on this tabletop.

Ok, now that is awesome sight with that paint job. A phantom, two revenents, a scorpion and a cobra? Toss in a pair of Lynxs and make it a party.

Are you constructing this as an actual list, or are you fielding everything you have and then trying to fill in gaps? Are you using a special scenario and rules? And what size floor are you planning to need for three three titans and three bio titans to duke it out?

Eldar are such a cool looking army. It looks great, I would love to see all 20K setup display style.

I have an actual list at the moment - trying to hash out what I really want to bring and maintain as much Biel-tan fluff-y-ness as I can. But I've got some guardians and pathfinders that I will be throwing into the mix to give me some additional troops aside from my Dire Avengers. As far as the table size is concerned, currently I think we are going to use a bunch of tables measuring approximately 10 or 12 foot long by 6 feet wide. As far as a scenario and rules go - we are in a discussion about them. The narrative is Biel-tan defending an Exodite planet and their tomato crops against the invading Nidz! Rawr!

I'll have to snap some pics of my Seer Council on Jetbikes in Progress and maybe get a army-to-date shot in.

Trying to stay focused but even last night, instead of working on my Eldar.. I converted a Librarian on a bike for my 6th Company Crimson Fists.

Your Eldar are very cool. I really like the crisp effect you have achieved in how you paint them.

Can we see more of FW's new Phantom Titan. I think that thing is cool and I'd like to see what you do with it.

Also, are you planning to include any flyers in your army. I didn't notice any and I know the Eldar have a whole mob of them.

Guardians can equal militia so don't feel too bad at that scale for that scenario .Have you used that firestorm yet in a game of any sort? I don't particuallarly like the model and I really don't like the points costs, but the numbers on it are interesting.

Looking at your phantom makes me kind of want to keep mine and build it. Having it side by side to the revenents, are you happy with it or does it seem lacking in detail compared to the FW your paint job seems to make it fit in pretty well? A thought I had on it was to work up a pair of pauldrons more like the FW Phantom to add over the AC ones, some sort of groin plate or loin cloth and maybe some greenstuff gem work.

Keep up the good work, I can't wait to see the assembled force.

Thanks! My new Phantom is still in a bag - but, I've bought a bucket and a gallon of Simple Green to get to the cleaning process soon!

I did have a Vampire Hunter, but sold it.. (doh!) So the only Flyer I have at the moment is a single Nightwing, but I do plan on trying to grab another one before the fight. It just doesn't make sense for an Eldar pilot not to have a wingman!

Yeah, I figure if we're going to bother the Wraithlords, Wraithguard and wake up an Avatar - then we damn well better get the citizen soldiers outta bed.

I've never used the Firestorm in a game, but for anti-air.. the stats are good for it (though it won't much help me take down a Harridan).

I like the Old School Armorcast Titan. It helps complete my Eldar collection, plus the way it looks just standing there over the battlefield with it's two arm weapons like, "Come at me, bro." is intimidating. It's definitely not as detailed (fancy) as the Forge World stuff, but it has it place in my army. Plus, the more titans the merrier! I do plan on eventually green stuffing some vines sprawling up it's legs and/or arms and maybe turning the heart on his shoulder into a more 3D one.. but he's good for now.

20,000 points!?!?! dude thats crazy! like I lost alot of my guys because the chaos daemons codex so I dropped from 10k points to 5k points. Yet you are doing Eldar? the "specialist" army. man just upgrade every single unit unless you are going to do a eldar swarm. (that would be funny to me)

Still need to put together the new Phantom, another Revenant, another Cobra, and another Nightwing. All of it should put me close to 20k points - I'm trying to get my Nid opponent to snap of pic of his WIP to compare.

The Wraithseer is a very cool model and fun to play - and yes, with 6th here.. I need to look into some Dark Eldar allies (True Biel-tan that never abandoned her) to add into the mix.

Phantom Titan

The Guardians have put down their paint brushes and pottery and are gathering for war!

Eldar Guardians, primed white and helmets painted Snot Green.

This is amazing man. Apoc games have always been my favorite, and I am the guy who is always trying to get my group to set one up. I think the largest we've had was 40k per side, but that was with 5-8 people on each side. I can't even imagine having 20k on the table for myself...
Keep up the work and keep posting! I know that I (and many others) would love to see this army in completion, even though we all know an army is never truly complete. Hell, I may even pick up my paintbrush and start working on my Tau again.

I wish I did play more in general - but I have found APOC games to be very fun. Just all out, bring what you got, boom, boom, bang, crazy close combat clashes and see what happens when the dust settles.

In an APOC game against an IG army with a Warhound at its center - one of my Revenant Titans in turn one caused the poor Warhound to suffer an Apocalyptic Explosion which in turned wiped out a large chunk of his IG. The setup lasted longer than the game!
