One time while playing in the planetstrike campaign at my FLGS, I had to defend against chaos daemons. After the preliminary bombardments and my opponents first turn, I had a lone tactical squad sergeant live only to snipe fateweaver with a single bolt pistol shot! Rolled a 3 to hit, 6 to wound, fateweaver bombs the rerollable 3++ save only to roll box cars on the leadership and vanish!

One of my friends did that before too-turning the Nightbringer into a spawn. I wish I was around to see it instead of just hearing about it a few days later.

I was playing a game with my Iyanden/Ulthwe alliance Eldar against an Ultramarines army sporting Calgar. Calgar and his mates are locked up in a losing battle with my 10 man wraithguard unit and attached farseer.

My avatar promptly waltzes into combat and proceeds to smash Calgar into little pieces. Eat that SM Codex.

Chaos Dread Turns a CC Dread and an Ironclad with Chainfist into Scrap Metal, and gets a piece of the Ironclad stuck in it's exhaust pipe, leading to a big boom.

2v2 battle, my Space Wolves and allies Grey Knights vs World Eaters and DoC Khorne list. Allies Grand Master and retinue killed Blood Thirster and my Wolf Lord killed the Chaos Lord in the same turn. We like to think that it was a reinactment of Armageddon

Even though that was pretty cool my favorite was when I was watching a friend play his Dark Angels against the Necrons. The look on the Necron players face when his Nightbringer failed his leadership test against the Mind Worm power was HILARIOUS!!!!!

My Tyranid Prime with Rending Claws wrecking a Land Raider Crusader!

It was a mass battle, the LRC had lost all of its weapons, the Tyranid Prime had already scored a glancing hit to finally immobilise the vehicle in the previous turn.
Final turn, assaulting the LRC, roll a 6, then another 6 for the D3, adds up to 14 (5+6+3), Roll a six on the chart, since it's immobilised and lacks any weaponary the nid claims the LRC as it's kill.

I added a LR door to the base of the prime as a memento to the amazing feat it managed. Very symbolic kill for me, given that the same LRC had mowed down my 20 Genestealers with its Hurricane Bolters and Assault Cannon..

But that was only the beginning, it's blown up a Librarian Dread, 3 Rhino's and a Pred.

Not a kill, acutally, but the never ending grudge match between ghazgull and his nobz and bjorn the unkillable- so far, it continues!

Actually, it might have been the epic duel between two CC masters- Ragnar and Kharn with his berserkers, who Ragnar shredded into little red and gold pieces.

In this one tournament my warboss with one wound left (he was also the only unit left on the board) climbed up a two story building (6" move, 6" run) and wiped out an entire squad of SMs (his last squad on the board) with them striking first. And because of that i took Third place out of 22 contestants on my 2nd combat patrol tournament.

Dark Eldar Dracon, vs Hive tyrant, Both had full wounds... Dracon charges into hive tryant, does five wounds, kills the Hive tryant, then sweeping advances into a carnifex and Kills its , sweeping advance into a unit of warriors and got Raped by them in frist round of combat( i rolled a double on drugs,) and then misses on his attack , and get Raped by four warriors... .

Second best one was when a Deamon prince was going too charge me, and fell short. then the next turn i moved a squad of marines in front of him... and the Chaos player drops a pie plate on me ( but it scatters back on the DP killing him outright) ( he only had one wound left any ways)....

Grimnar beating the living snot out of a full carnifex brood and in the same game my lone wolf (Infantry killer kind) killing almost 40 hormagaunts (ones with scythey talons)from a tervigon before reaching it and killing it then dying in battle with the Hive Tyrant.

My IG Sergeant with a laspistol and chainsword is assaulted by a genestealer and lo and behold the stalwart little sergeant slays the beast and claims an objective for the glory of the Emperor and the win! This was a one on one assault at the end of of bloody victory. He was the only survivor other than 2 Leman Russ's and a chimera (which contested the other objective) of the entire battle. It was awesome.

Back a few years ago my opponent was 100% sure that his Bloodthirster could take on any single character in close combat even if he was charged. I pulled out my Harlequin army and set it up so my Solitaire got the charge, it was not a good day for the blood god.

My first apoc game 16k on each side. My shock attack guns kills 15lootas 10unlucky grots and a freaking chaos warhound titan, the problem??? they where on my side..... gogo double ones and a titan that moved away from a flank march of 8 dreads....

Symbolic terrain kill: I back a leman russ squadron into a forest and roll for the dangerous terrain test and obviously roll a one.

A tree killed a LRBT... I was shocked, and a game that I should've handily won turned into a slugging match which I barley pulled a win out of my arse

I had my Lord Commissar and 5 Inf Squads and a HW squad Facing 40 termagonts and a broodlord in combat. They held that line for 4 turns without failing a moral check. They held Just long enough for the tanks to bring their guns to bare. With his dying breath underneath a swarm of blades the Lord Commissar Commanded the LRBTs and Basilisks to fire on him.

"In the name of the Emperor, Rain hell!"

Not one Termagont made it out of the crucible of combat. It was staged and I held for so long because I was holding the only Breach possible for the outer player. This all happend as two more squads took on warrors in CC and my tanks took down two Carnis and and a trygon.

Enemy demon prince tries entire game to lash my ire avengers, gets down to one wound from perils a la runes of warding. Avenger exarch puts a shuriken volley through it's skull. His reaction was priceless

I haven’t really experienced much dramatic hero hammer moments like everyone else but this moment comes to mind.

A 10 man tac squad reducing an 8 man bezerker squad to 4 men in the shooting phase only to be wiped out by the zerker squad in the assault phase.

Deathstrike missile attracts 2000 points of fire for 2 turns. Including a baneblade and 2 monoliths.

survives, launches the missile, and takes the baneblade down, plus a couple of other tanks. Baneblade goes critical, takes out another 4 squads of SM and IG.

I was just sitting there laughing my ass off.

On turn 7, Pedro Kantor calls down an Orbital Strike on a 1-wound left Daemon Prince of Tzeentch... I roll a bulleyes, he fails his Inv save. I win the game by 1 kill point.

Vanilla marines vs. Iron Snakes, w/ Calgar Counts as. Calgar and nine termies DS, within ~12" of almost my entire army. Roughly 1850 points of SM rapid fire later, all the termies are dead, calgar is down to one wound, and i assault with my scouts. Now calgar has zero wounds. And people tell me scouts are worthless. pshhh.

My Wolf Lord single-handedly tearing apart a Carnifex with his wolf claws.

5 attacks re-rolling to hit - all hit.
5 wounds re-rolling to wound - all wound.
5 armour saves for the carnifex - all failed.

I thought afterwards "That's why he's a Wolf Lord".

Later on in the same game, he killed a Broodlord without taking any wounds and his retinue of Genestealers (and only took one wound from the Genestealers - his only wound in the game).

A single stormtrooper stays locked in combat with a daemon prince for two turns giving my grey knights the time they need to bust through a squad of bloodletters and take him out...saving my stormtrooper as well.

I had 30 Imperial guardsmen and a trygon had popped up next to them the turn before. I decided to roll the 26 lasguns first (since they're the weakest) and I took all six wounds with out using the grenade launchers or the plasma gun! GO FLASHLIGHTS!!!!!!!
