Also, interesting fact, at one time gw billed warhammer as 30mm, not 28mm heroic.

edit* Also want to say that I really like those zombies and the liche is impressive too.

BTW, Lord of the Rings stuff is 25mm true, not 28.

Much smaller than even the Mantic stuff.

Wow. This set really highlights that it is NOT casting technology that makes so many 28-30mm figs come out with terrible, monkey-like proportions. Mantic can do it and the Island of Blood plastics are great- so why do we keep seeing monkey-parts on GW models? The continued tenancy of Aly Morison?

Go Mantic. I don't play undead, but will be urging everyone who does to pick up the Mantic zombies over all else.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

pretty poorly unless you are going to basically sculpt them together since very few of the limbs aren't molded into the bodies.

Huh. Well I don't think they're as good as the warhammer zombies, but they'll do for filling ranks with wargames factory zombies

I can't say I like these sculpts. The skeletons look a little chunky like GW's older sets, and the zombies don't look too 'zombie-like'. Most of them look tame.

I'd say they might be better then the GW zombies quality wise, but only because the GW zombies are like 10 years old or something. Concept wise, GW zombies are completely superior though, and looking at the Corpse Cart zombies, when they get redone, they'll be better then any plastic zombie out there.

Zombies are FANTASTIC!

Skeletons not so much.

I see a box of zombies being used and gs'd for genestealer hybrid bits..........

Don't forget the ghouls. Both the Mantic ghouls and zombies are perfect for Genestealer Cult conversions.

Those pics above really show the size difference between the elves and the zombies.

Seems the undead will be very close to GW size. That's great news for the undead enthusiast on a budget.

I personally like these zombies better than the gw ones.

I remain unconvinced about Mantic. Some of what they make is great, some is meh, but they've got a HUGE amount of product to get out there to compete with GW. GW has hundreds of different models/kits. Mantic has about a dozen.

That's true, but at the same time Mantic has made more plastic kits in the last few months (consider the 28mm quality of them) compared to lots of competitors before. For a years worth of selling plastic models, that's an awesome achievement.

And they don't need 100+ SKUs: They aren't GW. They can service niches, respond to them, and have a more "agile" design team.

Awesome. I just bought some of their skellies (not painted yet), I'll definitely be getting these as I have a shortage of zombies.

The zombies are awesome, for vampire counts in WHFB you could easily use them as ghouls.
Will also make a great zombie plague for necromunda.

just got my mantic zombies. Should have been working but had to put some together.
They look absolutely fab.
Got 120 of them with a messenger bag and 4 mantic carry cases all for £60.
Am thinking 3X 40 strong hordes.

Apparently from thier newsletter today they are running out of stock (from the first batch). Seems the zombies have proved popular (i'm glad I pre-ordered the battleset, which is now being bumped up by another revenant sprue (the command one) for whoever orders the first edition of said battleset for free.

The dwarves have also seen alot of interest (apparently the picture in the newsletter is the top of a stack of dwarf boxes 12 feet high)
