A Necron Abyss base, tending towards Hawk Turquoise highlighted with Bleached Bone look really good, as I found out luckily when searching for some alternate blues on my Sea Guard Elf...
I also painted a dozen or so Sisters, some twelv-ish years ago, in a white scheme with red & scaly trims, if interested I could dust them off and get a pic or two!!!
Let us know when work has begun (& post pics, uv kurz)!

Interested in pics of your sisters. Here is mine:
Sister Superior Amelia, Order of the Sanguine Veil
Last weekend was my first IPMS entry, overall I put in 8hours of painting, excluding basing and preparation on this entry.
Overall, as I went along I was not pleased with the sculpt I chose. In fact, it changed my approach and available methods/techniques due to how poor it was suited to competition painting.
GW 2 - part moulds aside, next time I will select a better sculpt which should allow freehand and further techniques to be applied.
If you have any questions about recipes or techniques and materials, please post here and also PM me.
Almost finished -
Snow basing drying on the day of submission - black gemstone added and some other more subtle tones included using blends and 'cold' undertones

It is a very clean paint job, but it could use a little more depth.
I actually just finished a squad using the same colors (they are painted as Ultramarines).
I try to make my SoB faces a bit more 'fleshy'. It is hard to see if you did the eyes.
Are the purity seals skull white? I think using Khmeri Brown with Deneb Stone and a wash of Badab/Devlangives you a better look for them.
I really like the red hair, it is obvious you thought about the actual colors of hair rather than just throwing blazing orange on her head. Did you use Vermin Brown, Baal Red, Blazing Orange and Scorched?

for a creamy cloak that's fast and still looks good, bleached bone basecoat, 3 or 4 sepia washes and re-highlight with bleached bone and then skull white.
as for black edge highlights, the usual standbys are blue for a dark-eldary look and grey for a chaplainy look, but i think a neat idea might be dark angel green; however, i haven't done it myself. failing that, you could try using whatever your tertiary color in the scheme is.

Wow, nice job for such a small amount of time...
I've finally found my Sisters in a box, among piles of other mini boxes, and I have to admit...
They were looking better in my memories!!!
Still, I'm still happy with the colour scheme, though the painting skills were definitely "improvable" lol...
Have a look at them, get the colours if you want, but please don't say anything mean about them, they date back from the 90's!!!
[ok, now I can go in shame... ]
Cheers!
edit: I just realize you cannot make it out from the pictures, but most of the details (purity seals, gems, etc.) were made in Scaly Green (a turquoise leaning more towards green than blue), which was a nice contrasting colour to the Scab Red... Scaly Green doesn't exist anymore, sadly...
edit#2: Sigur, your Canonness is magnificent!!!

Love how you did the chain on the brazier for her. I may need to steal that.
Very sharp looking, the blending on the PW is especially well done.
