Wait ten years when he walks in while you're in the shower and then walks off with your TV and leaves it in a field. Then you can beat the feth out of him...and then stuff his gob full of sweets as a final gesture of 'lesson learned'.

I wouldn't because I'm a hippy and I abhor violence. But, if my shakras were out of harmony, I could see myself losing my temper.

This makes me angry just reading about it. If someone did that to me I would honestly go medieval on their asses. I'd file a report with the police, theft is theft, especially with the cost of miniatures. Child support might be a good calla s well, parents like that don't deserve a child.

We're watching you... scum.

Nothing to do with it!
Why are you blaming the govt. schools and everyone bar the mother?

Yeah, they aren't involved in this way at all.

Sorry but the pointless whining about liberals doesn't cut the mustard.
The child's education and upbringing starts at home.
I know plenty of kids with a "liberal" education who would not do this.
Nor is there any evidence that kids didn't knick stuff in the good old days before "liberal" education.

What part of a liberal education says it is okay to waltz into someone else property and help your self?

Buy some drugs, work out which is his bedroom window of the house and throw them inside.

Call social services... Report that you've heard screams and seen the mother attacking the son and that other neighbours have also.

Enjoy!

Or...

1. Leave your door unlocked again.
2. Fill an alchopop bottle with bleach and leave it on a counter nearby.
3. ????
4. Hilarity ensues.

I take my hat off in reverence of this proposal. As an added bonus, it isn't even a "trap" per se, just a bottle of bleach, so he couldn't even sue (at least that's my understanding, I don't know gak about the laws in the UK).

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

Or so as not to be screwed by the law, protecting the little bastard like he was the queen, leave a normal bottle out and the door unlocked. Next after discovering that the bottle has disappeared "mysteriously" look panicked and confront the mother. Explain how you dropped a bottle of bleach and it had a crack in it, as that was the nearest empty bottle you put what was left in it. Then hilarity ensues.

If it doesn't work out kid thinks bleach is nice and you still win.

Alternatively call the cops and tell them that he has stolen some models from you. Explain what they are but you don't need to call them toy soldiers. Who knows one of the cops might play Imperial Guard or something. Hopefully it will scare some sense into him or the mother.

While MGS's idea is the aweseome, I couldn't help but laugh at this one.

You: "Hi, yes, I'd like to report several highly expensive models stolen. I think I know who did it too."
Cop: "...These wouldn't happen to be GW models would they?"
You: "Yes, they actually are."
Cop: " Who the took them? If someone did that to my Warhound I'd be pissed as !"

So far it is a tie between leaving the bleach laced beer on the counter and having it off with his mum for thread winner.

I don't think they can charge you with murder at all if they have no body, can they? I could be totally wrong, but just throwing it out there. ;D

So you lose the body in the fields with his mum and a bottle of bleach if someone steals your Dark Elves?

Makes sense.

The only thing you can do if the police don't listen (and they probably won't) is bother the mum about if every single time you see her, and politely but firmly give her gak about her badly brought up son every chance you get. Make her uncomfortable. She sounds like a horrible person, to me.
The kid, well he's 8 and has had a negligent upbringing. Not his fualt, but when he gets older if he keeps going he#'ll probably end up as a proper scumbag or getting his head kicked in for pissing off the wrong person.

So bad news, found nothing.

What happened though is as we where looking in the marshland. (about 2 miles out) he ran away from me.
So I walked home dissapointed about my models and the mother was sitting in my house waiting for her son. When I got back she asked me where he was and I told her I lost him out in the fields (sweet justice) and he ran away and hid from me.

Anyway she phones the police saying I am endangering her sons life. The police get to my door and I say that this women is refusing to leave my home and I want her out, Her son has stolen from me and that he is currently trying to set fire to my land in marshes (because he has a lighter and I know he likes starting them) As the police are taking her out side you will never believe what she drops lol. A 'white substance' in a bag...Oh I just laughed and closed the door. (it was clearly speed, since we know she takes it - and I dont mean that we are nosy neighbours and 'know' I mean my cousin went out with her for 3 years, we know.)

So with that done, the police report for all 3 claims are being processed, the boy has still not returned and the police are looking for him.

I have easily annoyed the mother and wasted police time. But if that boy comes back with tears flooding down his eyes I will feel nothing but happiness.

It is sad that the item in question stolen is not taken seriously because of its nature. Most people see my warhammer figures and think "cool toy soldiers" they don't think about painting time, the cost of paint, and the fact that these 10 "toy soldiers" cost about a total of $50 when the box, time and modelling tools are all accounted for. It shouldn't matter if he stole toy soldiers, a strap-on dildo, or a Television either but the coppers would actually take interest if it was a television, something they understand. Nobody except other hobbyists understands that they are not just "toy soldiers" they are a substantial investment of time and money and care.

For the little brat to get mouthy to you and his mum to just laugh about it is just disgusting. When I was a boy I would get slapped for being disrespectful to a grown-up. In Texas, people have the right to shoot anyone on their property who is there without permission.

I hope the little rat learns his lesson. My little brother used to eat all the cookies so my mom made a batch with curry powder in them just to find out which one of us was stealing the cookies from the cookie jar. He stopped stealing the cookies shortly afterwards.

Because the poor woman is a product of her environment.
If her parents/"the system" had instilled some self discipline or morality in her she would have been more likely to instill some in her son.
What I was trying to say was that tauregs like these need to either have some morality knocked into them or the fear of retribution knocked into them.
I was moaning about liberal education specifically the banning of the tawse.
It was the start of the general decline in respect for law and common decent behaviour.
I don't blame the schools, but the system.
How can you not blame the system?
Modern policing.... hit the motorist
Modern judges....criminals rights victims tough luck
Modern lawyers...sue everything
Social workers..... enough said!
The victim in this situation should haver given the little thief a good hiding, perfectly acceptable and expected not that long ago, now he would be arrested, jailed, probably put on the sex offenders register and sued for punitive damages by the theif.
Is this right?
So all down to liberal education and EU human rights law.
I think if it was me it might have been worth 6 months in Saughton to give thr little B a leathering he would never forget.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

Getting a result from the parent of a chav or ned is a rarity nowadays.

All excuses, no responsibility.

There was a case this week of a pensioner asking a child in a supermarket not to pull electrical cabling. The pensioner was not having a go, though she would be in good rson to. Anyweay the chavette mother beat her to the ground severly injuring her.

Some people wont learn social responsibility without liberal application of a large blunt object.

So all down to liberal education and EU human rights law

Are you claiming there was no theft before, in the "good ol' days"?

The schools are part of the system
Teachers are always being blamed for a liberal education, you use the term yourself.

It is too simplistic to blame a concept or the establishment/system or whatever you wish to call it.
As far as I am aware, there is nothing in a Liberal philosophy that says it is all right to help yourself to other peoples' possessions.
There is nothing as far as I am aware in The EU's Human Rights legislation to say it is okay to stroll into a house and grab whatever takes your fancy.
Whether there is EU legislation or not, this is down to poor parenting.

Ultimately, "the system" was created by people, is maintained and supported by people, and won't change until people make it do so. In that regard, saying that people shouldn't be blamed because they're victims of the system seems rather silly.

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.
