This is ok for "doing it quick". To get it right would require more work. For an 'old kill' look try orange, brown (for old dried up blood) and even some black in the mix where the gore is really thick.

This is exactly what I'm looking for. I want to show a marine that took a direct hit with a missile launcher. left over bits and gore

Hey.. weird suggestion but I've been trying some gore effects too, and adding a fine sugar (with some of the crystal structure intact, so not powdered) with PVA glue and red gore makes for a neat gristle effect if you want some pulped bones

My camera's busted and never made a picture so can't show the effect, but it's worth a shot if you got spare stuff to try it on

I think it would look great on a round base, and leave them in place of casualties. Little red splotches surrounding a Trygon sound like a plan!!!

Nice I might have a terminator Lord or something covered in gore to make it look like he has just slaughtered many enemies.

Chaos models are scarier than that. If thats going to scare some kid and make not start the hobby then he's probably the type to use a calculator and call it a rhino on the game table and i don't need to play against that.

Interesting technique. My only concern would be the potential for the wet flour and rice krispies to rot, which would be bad. Alternatively, maybe a little bit of plaster or spackling paste instead of the flour and maybe odd sized grains of sand for the rice krispy bits?
