No, 2 totally separate ideologies and disciplines the nearest a marine can come to the Inquisition is being seconded to the Death Watch. Grey Knights are different.

No. Some Captains have been in the deathwatch like Uriel Ventris

There are very few ranks in the deathwatch you go in as a veteran marine, possibly a sergeant and after you become more experienced you lead a deathwatch squad. The only example I can think of when someone walks in and takes over is when Ventris goes back into the Deathwatch for one mission in the second Ultras book. Just get the codex I believe it is now a free download.

Probably I'm afraid you'll have to do some searching, their site does have a search engine.

again if memory serves a submarine is also used in one of the blood angels novels, and there is reference to orks using boats in one short story (sorry can't remember which.)
It wasn't a short story.

It was either the second or third war for armageddon. They used massive transport submarines to get the drop on a coastal hive city.

....Yes Marines can take off their power armor. We just only see them when they're in it, cause we want to see fighting not Marines...doing what Marines do when they're not fighting.

And wasn't there some fluff about the SW fighting the Tau on the bottom of the sea on an ocean planet using Land Raiiders, Predators and the like?

1. There are if they need them, but launching a drop pod from orbit pretty much makes boats pointless. Refer to the first book of the Soul Drinkers Ominibus for an example of SM building marine transport as needed.

2. No, its not even part of the consideration for them. Not to mention that getting boned by an 8 foot tall superman with god only knows what kind of equipment might be a bit much for most ladies.

No. The Deatwatch is composed of Marines taken from every chapter, so you'll get a Blood Angels Marine fighting alongside an Imperial Fist, fighting alongside an Ultramarine, so on and so forth.

I thought marines basically lost their "gear" downstairs as a part of being created? Plus their sterile anyway once space marines I believe.

Eh, it's a weird debate...GW has never said anything about whether or not Marines have their equipment in place or not...

The only agreement is that Slaaneshi Marines can use theirs, and arguably Space Wolves can too...

No. Being a Chapter Planet means your tithe status 'Aptus Non', basically you don't pay the regular tithes because you pay the Imperium in other ways, in the case of a Chapter Planet, with Space Marines.

However, if the planet is advanced enough, there usually will be PDF forces present, and they'd probably be IG quality at least.

MAcragge is known to have a fairly sizable PDF, I believe.

Yes. GW did indeed make one for the Battle of Macragge Apoc game in the rulebook.

1. planets with water have boats, they are used to move supplies and patrol by the PDF, submarines are also used for this, a fair bit of fluff is refers to this such as the 'timescale of a planets death to a tyranid invasion' piece in a WD it said that PDF submersables were all destroyed by sea dwelling tyranid, seeing as 40k games are for the most part land based there are no rules for aquatic troops/ships.

2. no, a marines family is his chapter (as to the space marine penis thing, there is no fluff source to say they have non, it was just a fan fiction that got spread around).

3. space marines work with the inquisition either as allies or as haveing the inquisitor as an allie, rules for this are found in the deamon hunter and witch hunter codexs available from the GW website under their army sections, death watch on the other hand are only represented by a single allied unit choice, which maybe on the GW website.

4. inquisitors and marines have very different views of the IoM and the Emperor and being a space marine isn't a career, its a life, so no

5. death watch kill teams are either lead by a captain or a librarian.

6. yes they can, while a marine is in their monestary it is taken off so it can be maintained, if they didn't it would make pain-induced visions abit hard. i believe they wear monk like robes when not in their armour.

7. squads are mixed from different chapters.

8. most space marines worlds are feral to allow for the best recruits, and as their tithe grade is non, they don't pay taxes to the IoM in prodution, money or IG, however like already said some chapter worlds have large populations and have PDFs for population control.
