Actually I think its the standard Apoth head (or at least from the command squad), There aren't any plastic Techmarine's IIRC

Its kinda hard to tell in the pic, but there is indeed a Tech marine head (not the rest of one though) in the Ravenwing upgrade sprue from the Battleforce.

long time no red scorpions but I have some updates first up I have built another of my honour guard, pretty pleased how he has come out, pretty heavily armoured, I see him as a guard role so I dubbed him the "sentinel of the scorpion".

Second I decided that my champion was cool, but incomparison to my sentinel seemed a little bland, so I pimped him up with some hounour guard parts, big improvement I think.

And lastly I have my new ironclad dread, still WIP lots to do but I think you can see where im going with it, Its for a painting comp in york. Pics a bit crummy I know I will take some more when i have done a bit more


Oh and to answer the question about the apoth head, it is a tech marine head from the ravenwing sprue

Those guys are looking really good. I may have to try something similar with my honour guard

I think I have rectified it, sprayed over matt varnish, seemed to be able to paint over it.

A bit hard to tell, but it looks like it has some serious damage! Really like the engine cover damage.

The damage really adds to it, looks like potential competition winning material to me! Love the use of various kits to make your trops btw.

I know what you mean about the pics I need to take one with better lighting really, just need a non gloomy day

I entered my ironclad into a painting comp, and it came third, which im pretty pleased with as there were some really good entries

Not surprising thats a nice Dread matey, really good work on these guys the red scorpions are up there with the mantis and space sharks for awesome and your doing them complete justice!

So i have started putting some paint to the honour guard, the pictures I took are terrible(horrid grey day today) but at least you get the idea. Im really not keen on the banner it needs a re-think (might go with a black background) what do you guys think? really need some insperation for it. Im also thinking of repainting the helmets white, with a warm gold stripe. Really battleing with these to be honest, need some advice I think.


next up we have a terminator power claw I have quickly bashed up, this is just a quick WIP just wanted to see what it would look like, thinking of using claws insted of lightning claws, what do you think too orky/bulky?

We now have my chaplain conversion, pleased with how this is comming on still WIP obviously

got a few images of my honour guard squad, i have had some advice on bolter and chainsword and they have suggested changing the helmet colour, which I think they are right, there is just something wrong with them, they just dont buzz if you see what I mean. I need some help with the banner what advice can you guys give me??

Right how is everyone? I have entered my inqusitor into a painting compertition in York, so wish me luck, im hoping to get a thid place, though there are alot of good enteries.

now onto some of my bits, bear in mind these are still wip, just blocking out the colours trying out white helmets, which im liking. what do you guys think?
