Ace job for first time painting! Is there another 'first time paint jobs' thread? I'd like to post some of mine but they aren't really worthy of their own thread show off, since I'd never painted models before either haha..

Those are really good for a first time painter, you are going to improve greatly if you keep it up.

Looks good for a first attempt at painting for sure. It is hard and the more you do it the better you get obviously. Just paint paint paint! Its fun isn't it? I love it.

I didn't want to cramp your style! haha, but I will upload some pics later on and link them here

It's pretty good stuff, period.

The white on some of the models is rough, perhaps you are trying to cover too quickly. It's better to just use a little paint and do two or three or more coats to get smooth coverage.

That's the sort of thing one really only notices with close-up photographs or holding the model close to one's eye.

Thought I would update these with some of the next bits Ive painted, things have been really quite slow lately on the painting front as my hands are really playing me up, Im having difficulty holding the model let alone a paint brush, they are taking me ages, but im still loving it, and get a real sense of satisfaction when I finish one.

Pretty dang good painting for starting out. My first paintjobs were hideous. Like some others mentioned, your basing is already top notch and so is that board! How'd you make that board?

Hi guys thanks for the words of praise, with regard the board, Im sorry to say that appart from painting and flocking the board I cant take any credit, its just a Citadel Realm of Battle Game Board.

I started with the AOBR set, then bought a couple of bits in real poor condition from ebay real real cheap and stripped them down and started again with them. I got a few bits for xmas and also bought a bit with money from family I got on my last birthday.

Wow! Ive never seen a first timer paint so good, and what a great freehanded cat, it looks so real!!!!

For a first time painter, you're brilliant! Keep up that great work, and remember, washes are your best friend!

As requested here is the army so far, quite a way to go to get to the whole of the 2nd company though. sorry its a naff pic, but battery died just as i took this.

As you can probably make out I still have 3 tactical squads to paint and one predator, I finished no3 rhino and the vindicator today, particularly pleased with the vindicator and its seige shield, once the battery charges on the camera will get some close ups of it.

Yes I agree with everyone dude, you have amazing skill as a first timer. I haven't even posted pictures of any models of my armies because I still think my skills suck.

Awesome. I think the highlights can be a little darker if you know what I mean. All and all very nice.

I really like the dozer blade on the vindicator. Very unique!
