Personally I find that every model I buy out of GW needs some sort of tweaking (and a couple of grams of green stuff, but who's counting?). I like the Russ kit to look less like a behemoth-ie brick- and more like a practical tank as it just doesn't look update enough and doesn't even fit in with the lore in my eyes as isn't it meant to be based off of an STC? I thought that the technology that was used at the height of humanities reign would be more...streamlined-and don't anyone give me that loss of technology crap.¬¬ Mort's tank is more like what I would prefer (even considering substotuting a few of them into my IG army) Meh, I'm a plasticard and greenstuff kind of guy so pretty much anyone else's sculpts could do with a little improvement in my eyes. ^^

I’d personally like the Kharn the Betrayer model redone. I never was a fan of the whole “sleeveless arm look” that they went with and I’d prefer a model that was fully encased in power armour.

Assault Marines redone to ten in a box. Because having to buy half a squad at a time gets old quick.

Mephiston is a decent model but something much more epic could be done with him. EDIT: And Dante.

All the Witchhunters... but that was probably said already.

I think all the metal troops should be redone, the models that you need 5+ in a squad, cause its so hard to repose them when you want to make them unique. This includes:

1) Fire dragons
2) Pathfinders (tau and eldar)
3) SoBs of all kind
4) Inquisition retinue

I'd also like to see new servitors, new WH exorcists, repentias, Penitent Engines. Hopefully we'll see them soon after DH or my girlfriend will kill me.

As for the Tyrant Guards, I love the model! The hive guards look awesome because they were made after the TGs. The only thing i'd change in them is the front rending claws, they're a bit too flat.

As for the "tweaking" and "GSing" well its a hobby and that is its biggest feat in my opinion. Making your minis unique is what I like best.

Done as a conversion see here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/150/305366.page (comment on that thread though not here!)

Adding to the list a new plastic Eldar Avatar would be nice, choice of sword or spear. Eldar warlocks too.

Was reading the Jervis article a while back where he was mentioning not redoing characters because people would have to buy models they already have, what a load of rubbish for 40k - look at what they have done with the new models for the old Skaven characters, why can't we have Seb Perbet knock us up a few new 40k ones (hopefully not rat based!!)

+1 for all group based models and generic characters not independent characters to go to plastic. Why did we need metal Incubi or Mandrakes. Hopefully a nice chaplain / libby plastic box with the Blood Angels 2nd wave in Feb.

Well Id really like to see a new Marneus Calgar in Power Armor.

The one that is available is a head smaller than the plastic captain and is way too small in comparison with the MC in terminator armor... When you put them side by side it looks like Marneus had a twin that was a midget.

Besides just general updates for older models I would say the Avatar of Khaine. It is ok looking but I think it could be a more epic model, it could be more hard core and representitive of a war gods avatar. I've seen the Forge World one and it's ok and better then the normal one but they both just.....could be done better in my opinion.

Why would they update Khaine when they can just get you to buy the FW one?

Yeah, sounds lke Jervis is full of crap. First of all, I think it's people who are stuck with old crappy looking models who are calling most loudly for updates. Second, if someone doesn't want to buy the new model they can simply keep using the old one!

This thread made me laugh. Not only do many armies require an update but SO MANY mini's require a new model. GW can't keep up.

Id like to see a lot of the Eldar models redone. Many are old.

Right, this is the real problem. It's not "which model" so much as "50% of them need to be redone".

Though I realise that there is a lot that needs redoing, my own guilty desire is for GW to put heavy weapons back onto two bases. That would require a codex change, though, so...

Because as I said I woulden't buy the FW one. And the thread is which model you'd like to see redone, that's it.

Why? If the blood god wishes that kharn go sleeveless, who is kharne to disobey him?
