I myself have a warlord in the making so I wish you a good built (as that is sometimes needed if you are to survive with your mind intact)
It looks promising so far, and you did the wisest in starting with the legs (it's tempting to start of with the torso, but is a rookie mistake) but why did you go for round legs ?? I like it, but most peeps go square for that

Just wishing you good luck on this project! Can't wait to see some more progress

@tda: Oh my sanity had long ago been subsumed into the great Omissiah, I am but a cog in the Most Revered Machine.

I went for round legs because:

A - I had some tubes lying around
B - I like the Mars pattern best, and as i can no way scratch a whole Mars Titan this is the best way to pay homage.

The armour will be hard but hopefully i can pull it off. Basically im taking heavy inspiration from the Warlord in the Apoc book.

somethings afoot...! in the mechanicus camp.

Nice start, though it looks a little big to me...not that I can properly tell when it's only half-built, of course.

@Dreadnote: Should be between 25"-30" when finished, so not overly big imo.

More progress, currently stands at 26", will be about 30 once i add the shoulder towers.



And yes, it may be cardboard, but it will all be skinned so will not look like cardboard (hopefully! )

LOL... holy ! That's gonna be awesome when it's finished!

Looking good (and enormous!) If you wanna keep the costs down you could skin it in the thin cardboard from cereal packs, the surface coating is superb as it is smooth and wont get soaked by the paint and warp as ordinary plain card does. And on top of that it's really easy to work with

@ tda: Hopefully its not horrendously out of scale or anything! It just seemed to grow bigger no matter what i did!

If you look at the finished toe, youll see thats the stuff i used. (although it was a GW box, not cereal ) Did a bit of test painting on a scrap piece and it worked well.

Now i just need to invent a forgeworld, fluff and colour scheme :s

Too many icons tumbled together... pick two and stick with them.

Second what Gits says, too many icons. The axe and the eagle together would be best IMO, with the axe splitting the eagle in a similar manner to the Dark Angels icons.

Third right here. Too busy as it stands- the Laurel and Aquila combo don't say Mechanicus, but I dig the Axe/Aquila combo... I'm not sure about symmetry currently with those two (axe/eagle)- perhaps crossed axes?

And yes, fluff, please.

Axe -Aquila or wreath-Admech symbol both seem interesting options.

Only problem I have with the aquila is the major ties with the Imperium it has, suggesting some imperial loyalty over the Mechanicus and the Omnissiah. But otherwise, less icons make a less cluttered look.

My titan legion is called the Legio Interfectorem (meaning Slayer or somesuch in latin), but im stuck on the 'nickname' thing that they all have. I want executioner or variant thereof in there somewhere but cant seem to think of one that pops. Any ideas?? The 2 i have are ok i guess but id like to know what people think, ive got, Favoured Executioners or Indomitable Executioners (although this ones sounding better!)

looking good! I built my warlord out of cardboard too. It's not great (and is still awaiting the final coats of paint) but I'm happy with it considering the budget i had. I kept a thread on here (http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/257036.page)

I vote A, myself. Still going with unease about the use of the aquila, and the axe in B looks like it would be out of place unless it were just within the cog and containing the skull
