For my Tau, a unit that didn't fall over and die when a marine gives them a harsh look.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do |

The Spreader of Lies seems awfully dangerous to any low- LD army that relies on shooting. In a Daemon list, the nature of their deployment means most of the enemy forces will be within 24". It means an IG army (for example) will have almost half their force run towards the Spreader and have to run and hence unable to shoot. I think it would be good if you removed the necessity to run bit, so they can at least still shoot.

- Imperial Guard Conscript Squad Attachment -
Jonathanus Esculab
Never have the the poor Conscripts of the 7. Aloverasan seen a Priest more gentle, kind and polite than Jonathanus, the old bearded man who is almost a father figure for them. In combat, however, his yells about the fury he's going to bring on the enemies of the Imperium, are legendary. Once his children are hurt, his wrath has no limits. As a loyal servant to the Emperor, he does everything to bring his children in care home.
Jonathanus Esculab may be included in your army as one of the 5 possible Ministorum Priests.
He may only be attached to a squad of conscripts, and has to start the game being with the unit. He may not leave the unit voluntarily, although he might be "removed" (DE reaver squads) as usual.
The Squad he is assigned to may not use "Send in the next wave"

I think another fun one, for daemons, would be an AoE style of drop-pod thing...
Ground Eater Mound- WS 0 BS 4 S4 T6 W4 I3 A0 Ld. N/A Sv. 6+ Heavy Support -225 pts.
The Ground Eater is a viral slime that infects, with virulent disease, all it touches. It is used at the front of daemonic assaults to tear at the very fabric of the world and create a thick smog from which the cloaked daemons can spring from. The Ground Eater Mound is a thick ball of flesh containing vast pools of the toxin that, once placed, is counted as immobile. Any daemon within 6" of it gains a 6+ cover save as the gasses that arise out of the sludge are thick enough to hinder the sight of even the most trained eye. This cover save increases by 1" every movement phase (including your opponents).
Pile of Toxin: If the Mound were to land on an opponents model it does not roll a die for mishap but instead incurs a wound on a 4+ to any model underneath it, vehicles simply move out of the way. If it lands on your own models, role as normal however (Nurgle loves is children after all and would never let them be hit by an incoming missile).
Expanding Plague: The slime and sludge contained within the mound slowly leaks out of it over time and as such each poses a danger to all around it. All movement within 3" of the mound is considered difficult. On turn 2 this changes to dangerous and on every subsequent movement phase after (even your opponents) this radius increaes by 1" (taking effect turn 3). Daemons are also affected by this (excluding Daemons of Nurgle and anything with the Mark of Nurgle).
Acid Spitter: In the center of this viral infection is a great maw that spits out vast globs of the Ground Eater Plague. It has a the following profile; Acid Spitter Range: 48" S:3 AP:3 Assault 2
-Melded Bone: Amongst the flesh of the Mound, bone was weaved in granting the Mound a 5+ save at 15 pts.
-Volatile Eruption: The gasses emitted from the Mound are of the particularly unstable variety and so if the Mound is unable to continue to produce the right agent, is libel to catch fire. Should the Mound lose its final wound everything within radius of the cover save takes a Str. 4 hit. They may not use the cover save for this hit and the cover save will dissipate immediately afterward. 50 pts.
-Bile Belcher: The Ground Eater Mound gains another shooting attack, and may use both in during the shooting phase (both must still be at the same target). It has the following profile; Bile Belcher Range: 24" S:6 AP:6 Assault 4 -30 pts.

A commissar may take a
...plasma pistol 10 pts
...power weapon 10 pts

Any commissar fitted with an assault cannon that makes a summary execution removes five randomly determined models from the unit he is a part of, rather than a single model of the highest leadership. The unit automatically passes the reroll to its morale check.
