Off-topic, but most larger liquor stores tend to carry a few meads or melomel's. In the south, every Spec's I've been to has had at least Chaucer's, Bunratty, and Redstone. Chaucer's is the cheapest and my wife's personal favorite, whereas Redstone tends to be pricey and is oftentimes more flavored--vanilla and raspberry seems to be common. Bunratty is a wine infused with honey and is similar to mead, but not quite there.

Honestly, just walk into a liquor store with a good wine selection and ask. It's not exactly uncommon.

I have to pee like a banshee every hour or so, however.

Another vote for single malt whisky here. Lagavulin, 16 yr old. Best of the Islays, IMHO.

I also have a soft spot for cask strength Edradour.

Life's too short for blended whisky.

Also, sipping a glass of the water of life does lend the table a certain "war room" ambience, as you survey your troops and make decisions.

A soft drink of some sort for one-off games, and water for tounreys (gotta stay alive for the whole thing

). Would enjoy a good martini during a game, except that I always end up driving somewhere afterwards.
