Water, vitamin water or juice at tourneys. It's mostly about staying hydrated and attentive at those.

In home games where we don't really care how long we take, we usually wind up with a mix of water, coffee and beer. Not playing against a clock and being able to go and do something else for an hour or two does make a big difference.

Used to drink Pepsi during games, but I gave up soda. Now it's just water. And, oddly enough, at 25 I'm not a big connoisseur of the harder drinks.

Beer or JD & coke unless its a venue where alcohol isn't permitted then it's Mountain Dew all the way.

Beer or tea. Beer wise, it's usually a strong ale, or maybe corona and lime. I don't drink as much stout when I'm wargaming. And I don't drink spirits, either. Usually it's a cup of tea though. Irish Breakfast tea (or "tea" inside the republic

) with milk and one sugar.

In the game store (when I used to game there) it was Irn Bru, or Dr Pepper.
Irn Bru is ferociously bad for you (you can tell by the smell), but I love it.

Energy Drinks? Beer? Unless I'm at a GT/don't have to drive or go anywhere. Had some problems driving home from a tournament after drinking a redbull. Not cool

Coca cola. Not diet, not pepsi. Just simple and honest coke. I like the taste, and it keeps me alert, active and sound of mind (sort of the complete opposite of alcohol, as it were).

Root Beer, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew... sodas mostly.

Sometimes when I need to be focused, I'll hit up a Gatorade, but they're really meh for me sometimes... At least enough soda keeps me relatively attentive.

Alternatively, 40 Creek rye with Canada Dry ginger ale.

It also helps I game near/at the mess on campus, though I'm kinda screwed if I play at the FLGS.

National Bohemian Beer, after all it is from the land of pleasant living. Seeing as how I mainly game for fun and not very competitive beer is usually par for the course. I do however love green iced tea

For least year's 'Ardboyz prelim, I played at a store with a great pub literally next door, downtown in Dover, NH. Had a beer between each round. It was great.

Good man! We got OJ & champagne for mimosas last year, had them chilling in the hotel room fridge, but we were up too late drinking beer and in the morning we were too tired and made do with coffee and water. :(
