Well, in the case of a primarch, it would rather be a tempest. This is exactly what I said, having a sexual relationship with a primarch might prove dangerous for a human female . But this is just my opinion.

As far as just a space marine goes I'm not a biologist but I would imagine that thier seed would still carry thier genetics from before all of their augmentations, unless their reproductive systems were altered which doesn't seem likely. So thier children might be strong or smart but it would just be because of the marine's genetics before he was made superhuman. In my opinion though It doesnt seem likely that this would be a really common thing in the first place. I always sort of saw space marines as kind of above carnal desires, like warrior-monks or something.

I really don't understand why the primarchs should not have the "right equipment down there". It is true that they are test tube babies, but they should have sexual organs unless the Emperor artificially removed those, and I don't understand why he would have done so. It would have been pointless... and seriously creepy.

However he could have altered something in their physiology so that they would not be able to have children, so that he could have kept the number of ultra-super-duper-humans at a controllable level.

Or because he didn't want to be called Gran-pa'...

He could have also reduced the sexual desire or affection in the mind of his sons, for a too serious relationship with a human female might have distracted a primarch in his holy mission.

Or, he wanted to keep all the hotties for himself.

Just a few thoughts...

Does anyone find the sensei thing a bit wonky? It's hard to imagine this supreme being having random sex with all these people and then forgetting about or being unaware of his own children. I always figured the Emperor was beyond simple things like casual sex. And I assume the primarchs would be too, if they even were capable of reproduction.

Unless you're a post heresy Fulgrim, he does very naughty things...

Well, the Emperor was just a man after all. He was an extraordinary man, but he certainly had his needs with the ladies. I suppose that during his life he never tried a serious long term relationship, because being the supreme protector of all mankind doesn't cope with family business . This could explain why he never actually raised his own sons. Because he was always on the move trying to improve mankind's future.

Or he could have just been the biggest lady's man ever that ran away as soon as his girlfriends became pregnant...

I actually do not think it is too crazy that he was into long term relationships. He probably would outlive all of his partners after all.

And since he can change it's appearance, he can very easily make it seem like he's growing older with them. I mean, the reason the Emperor doesn't know about the sensei is because they've inherited some of the Emperor's traits, and can keep themselves hidden from his sight. That and for the last 10,000 years he's been kinda preoccupied with that whole Astronomicon, keeping a Webway Gate closed thingy...

I dunno...What bothers me more than what is essentially god having sex, is the fact that he is oblivious to his own children's existence. If your psychic light is a beacon that shines throughout the galaxy repelling daemons from an otherworldly nightmare realm, I think you'd have the competency to track down your own offspring. I mean he did have 10's of thousands of years to do so.

His children were Psychic Blanks.

not even the Emperor can detect psychic blanks.

and being a psychic blank is different from being a Untouchable.

Untouchables have a void in the warp. where a normal human or a Psyker is a beacon of light, a Untouchable is like a spot of blackness that draws in the power of the warp. a Black hole for Warp energy.

a Psychic Blank is warp neutral. no warp signature at all. it's as if they don't exist.

Psychic Blanks may have been the Emperor's eventual plan. make all humanity Warp Neutral and as such immune to the predations of the Chaos Gods.

I didn't realize they were all blanks. Why is that the case though? I do know that weird anti/negative psyker stuff is made from the psychic by-products of the golden throne, this is the stuff is psyk-out nades I think. So it seems like the emperor creates negative psyker stuff. So maybe his offspring would be blanks then. Still doesn't answer why he seems to passively create anti-psyker things, it's especially weird considering he is the most powerful psyker.

If any of that makes sense

Well it would seem unlikely to be unable to reproduce since many of the primarchs rose to power through extreme warrior societies, they would be seen as less of warriors with out the capabilities to take women. it seems more likely that the genetic mutations seen in the primarchs would take many generations of breeding to be seen in the offspring since thats the way evolution works.

The Immortals from the Highlander films have their tackle in tact, are able to mate but are not able to reproduce.

After the event's of Fulgrim where he lops of Ferrus head and it goes all Highlander I draw the same conclusion, that Space Marines and Primarchs are essentially immortal thus sharing the same issue with doing the bump and grind and making babies.

They still need to take a leak I would imagine and Daemon - Fulgrim gets jiggy with that corpse ... So the tackle is in tact but it's either not firing or shooting blanks.

Clean his Bolter, pray to the Emperor - a Space Marine never has time for procreation according to the daily ritual

0400 Morning Prayer
0500 Morning Firing Rites
0700 Battle Practice
1200 Midday Prayer
1300 Midday Meal - Dudes gotta eat - no time for a quickie here
1315 Tactical Indoctrination
1500 Battle Practice
2000 Evening prayer
2100 Evening Meal -
Chapter Masters may even permit the brethren to partake of alcoholic beverages at this time if the day's activities have been expertly done.
Dude needs a beer - no time for a quickie here either
2130 Night Fighting Exercises - This could be the only chance dude has
2315 Maintenance Rituals
2345 Free Time
"Consider (the) magnitude of your duty at your leisure, but act without hesitation when (action) is required." In honour of this Space Marines are permitted a short period of leisure each day to consider the magnitude of their duty to the Emperor.
So more prayer then
0000 Rest Period Begins - Not here because
Extended interference with the circadian rhythms of sleep has been shown to impair efficiency and induce personality disorders. To prevent this Space Marines enter a dreamless fugue state for four hours per day when not on campaign.

OK, maybe you're right for the SM.

But what about the primarchs? I'm sure they had plenty of spare time . After all, they didn't have all these prayers to do, they were the emperor's sons.

So here is my view of a primarch's timetable:

0400 Morning quickie
0500 Morning Firing Rites
0700 Battle Practice
1200 Midday quickie
1300 Midday Meal
1315 Tactical reunion
1500 Battle Practice
2000 Evening quickie
2100 Evening Meal
2130 Watches TV programs
2315 Night quickie
2345 Sleep

that Space marine timetable is a standard composition for all Astartes chapters

it is unlikely that you will find a chapter that adheres 100% to that. cept perhaps the Smurfs.

and it should be pointed out that the Codex Astartes holds time for an Optional 45 minutes of Free Time for each astartes to do with as he sees fit at the end of the day.

many chapter masters don't put this free time in, but there are those who do and 45 minutes is plenty of time for fireworks

the Codex doesn't state what to do with this free time. most Space Marines just add on 45 minutes onto something else they do, but those that are inclined to might have the company of a lady.

the Space Wolves have Hand Maidens whose job is to serve beer when the Wolves are home in the Fang.

45 minutes may be enough to get it on, but you would have to consider the length of time it would take to remove and replace their power armour. Even just the cod piece would take a while considering you would need the assistance of serfs and then observing the proper rights and prayers to apease (spelling?) the machine spirit of the armour. And Emperor forbid your one of the lucky ones who is blessed enough to wear terminator armour...

Im pretty dead sure the primarchs where able to have sex (children im not sure about though) IIRC in "Fulgrim" near the end where they have that giant slanneshi concert thing, the main singer/composer (I forget her name) came on the stage basicly naked and Fulgrim applauding saying "Wonderful!" and the captain sitting next to him finding a new recently unfounded pleasure in observing her figure.

So, that would mean that this SM captain never experienced any sexual desire before. Could it be because something in their indoctrination-training (or even their surgery?) removes all forms of sexual attraction and that their new allegiance to the cosmic pervert removed this inhibition?

See that's what I said. According to some people (people I know who have been in 40k for a very long time) a space marine is psycho conditioned and trained out of most human desires: wealth, power, even basic ones like food and sleep. Is it not logical then to say that Space marine's are also wiped of lust?

It is said in "Rynn's world" that upon the Crimson fist's entrance into a city a great many citizens came out to cheer them. Apparently they offered the marines things like beer, money, and women, to which the marines refused.

I'm sure codex chapters would be against it but then again one of the Crimson fists masters also preformed an experiment where failed aspirants of the chapter were paired with suitable females to produce children who would be suitable for recruitment.

It also goes to say after this master died, the new master quickly shut down this practice. I dunno why but for some reason I can see a lot of non codex chapters, mainly the SWs having mistresses.

As for the primarchs, I dunno, maybe? I don't see it though seeing as no fluff has been created of it.

I personally think they have penes that are fully functional but probably not augmented and gigantic. However, I also firmly believe that their sexual desire is rather small compared to that of a normal person nowadays. Especially Primarchs of the Emperor got other things on their minds and even normal SM probably would have. A Space Wolf learned that one of his fellow Wolves was his great-great grandson or something, I also recall that Salamanders live among the population of their homeworld when they aren't busy and guide them. I could totally see them form relationships with normal women if they find the right ones. Surely, such relationships are very difficult to maintain (your husband would be away and in danger most of the time) but it could work. They are humankind's protectors and demi-gods in our eyes but they're still human.
