But most likely your opponents are WAAC gits, will probably meta game to beat you, and ruin your fun.

Meh we don't really have a WAAC guy at our local meta but we do like to be competitive as we do travel around the local area and play in tournies and such and as always when a new power armor codex comes out the bandwagoners jump on it so I'm figuring I will be running into them a lot more in my travels.

Then why are you worrying? If your friends won't take wargear and items JUST to play against demons, what's the issue?

Buffo its more about when we venture out to other stores/events than when I'm playing with my group. Its more of an issue of how often will I be running into Grey Knights outside of my group. I'm reworking my mono Khorne list because every color of power armor hates a whole army that ignores regular armor saves

As a fellow Daemon player, I was worried about the Grey Knights as well. There's still four things you need to remember:

1) For them, victory is a supposed certainty. We may have an uphill battle, but you can shock-and-awe them just by surviving.

2) If you run into someone who's ready to WAAC, then that's his problem.

3) The fastest way you'll lose is by giving up before first blood.

4) Besides, if they had to build a whole army just to fight the Daemons (and, according to several of the Battle Reports, the Daemons are still winning) what does that say about the Daemons?

Get out there and give them Hell! It's what we Daemons are.

Until an Inquisitor or Dreadknight points at him and it goes away thanks to Dark Excommunication... unless the BotBG does the same thing that it does to Khârn in the CSM book...

Slightly similar. It gives a 2+ invulnerable save vs. wounds caused by psychic powers and Force Weapons. Having said that, Dreadknights are FUBAR if hit by Skulltaker as his "Skulls for the Skull Throne!" (Rending and ID on a 4+) in not a Daemonic Gift.

Still, I'd imagine that a JI MC wouldn't find it impossible to avoid being charged by that one dude in your opponent's army that will smash anything. Anything else that tries to avoid force weapons by using Blessing of the Blood God will find themselves gak outta luck as the Dreadknight flips them upside down and steals their lunch money...

Can someone explain to me how GK have a weapon that ignores invulnerable saves? Unless you mean that ammo for the vindicare which will be fired about 5 times per game, there is none I can think of.

Psycannons? At least that's what the old ones did, I haven't looked at the new codex.

The only thing that will be instant-lose for Daemons will be Interceptor deep-strike denial shenanigans, which you shouldn't see too often in all-corners lists, and only works if the Grey Knight player gets first turn. It's also not a valid tactic in Dawn of War games.

Otherwise, if Grey Knights are popular in your local metagame, it might be worth your while to invest in Skarband, as said above. Khorne's got plenty of great tools just for punching through heavy infantry, so abuse that to the fullest extent that you can. Even if your opponent can instantly kill your men on a failed leadership test, at least it's not nearly as threatening as the instant death that they can usually inflict. Daemons will be one of the few armies where multi-wound models will still work against Grey Knights, so abuse that.

And the new psycannons do NOT ignore invulnerable saves.

+1 on that! I kind of wish I had a Daemon army around now, it would make for some great narrative games, aside from anything else those pictures on the website of GKs in melee against hordes of Daemons is really cool.

(and I'm sure you would get some wins, even against hardened players, as they try to come to terms with a new army).

No way! Don't ever shelf your demons! They can whoop anyone- what's more, they do! Well, most of the time if you play them properly

Nope. S7 AP4 Assault2/Heavy4 Rending.

It's barely even the same weapon anymore.

Hounds +2 save vs all GK units.

If youre tripping over the new GK just grab some heavy fire support, like maybe flamers of tzeentch, horrors, daemonettes to match initiaive and rend( no seekers, cant charge buildings), bloodcrushers still work, just watch out for the 75 pt model removal upgrade on the squads. Fiends wont work against termies but the regular greys will be eaten alive if you multi charge with 2 heavy hitters, just beware those damn halbrreds! (I6)

Blessing of the Blood God, give 2+ save vs Force Weapons. All GK carry Force weapons.

So that's you're recommendation?

This feels like it's turning into a tactical discussion, which is all well and good....

But our friend here needs some encouragement!

Though, I've found Khorne's boyz with a (Tzeentch diversion) to be best against most power-armored enemies, GK included.
