Has some nice fight scenes in it. Kind of like how the crappy dragonball live action should have been like.
Some of Dakka will probably like the sound track as well.

There are probably others, I just can't remember them at the moment.

Seriously.

I would post a picture of the movie box cover art, but I would probably be banned for doing so.

Yes, just looked it up on wikipedia, we don't want that sort of thing on here

I like the idea of Black Swan as a follow up to The Professional. It explains why she's so fethed up.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Oh, along side Salo is City of God. Being Brasilian, I guess I love both debauchery and being reminded how my birth place is a giant cesspool-shyt hole.

As a lot of the pics in here are work blocked *shakes fist in rage* I'll post mine, and accept any doubling up, is just sharing an enjoyment of said film with others.

Possibly my fave martial arts/historical based film at the moment.

In my top ten of all time films, love it.

Although I can agree with Spirited Away and My Neighbour Totoro, both of those films work fine for me dubbed, in fact partially better. *Blasphemy, burn him!* However this film is not the same without the very emotive Japanese voice recording.

Departed has absolutely nothing on this movie, just pure class.

As a huge Dynasty Warriors fan, and hence a massive fan of the Three Kingdoms era, I really couldn't wait for this film, and it didn't dissapoint. Just Brilliant!

Thats probably my top five, so I'll leave it there. Although Seven Samurai is knocking on that door. Close call.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

Best one that I have seen recently was An Ordinary Execution

A bit of a slow burner in some parts but quite gut wrenching in others.

has anyone mentioned Downfall yet?

For some reason when I think of FFLF I always think of modern ones. Yojimbo and Seven Samurai are freaking classics.

I really like "Six strong Guys" a Chinese comedy about 6 guys who try and commit suicide on the same night. They don't and it examines their lives and why they thought they should kill themselves.

I promise it's funny though. They decide not to kill themselves because a guy a few floors down on the building they were going to jump off of jumps because he MMO account was erased and they think it looks painful.

It's an acquired sense of humor I guess.

Indeed, especially the underwater point of view shot at the end. Genius and exactly how supernatural should be shown.

Just have to say, I did NOT see that end coming at all. I almost choked myself laughing, which is rather disturbing considering what actually happens, but it was just so unexpected and brutal. Unfortunately, it's a Swedish film, and I'm Swedish, so it doesn't count :(

Yeah it was out there!

@Morathi's Darkest Sin: Yes you are correct about Grave of the Fireflies. All of the others are just as good dubbed, but I do not think that one got an official dub or a good one. It just didn't seem to be of the same quality. It may be the emotional ties of the voice actors though.

@movac: Wasn't The Magnificent Seven a westernized remake of the Seven Samurai? I heard they are making The Magnificent Eleven. It would be nice to see the Eleven Samurai as well.

EDIT: Uggh....never mind. Here is the plot to that modern remake:

"A modernization of the classic western in which the Cowboys are a struggling local amateur soccer team, the Indians run a nearby Tandoori restaurant and the bandits are a group of menacing thugs led by a maniac known simply as 'American Bob'"

Soccer Team? Seriously?!
