Great looking San Guard. The power weapons look phenomenal! What colors did you use to get that effect? I like the darker tones you have used for your Guard....gives them both a dangerous and ancient look.

Thanks! For the swords I painted them boltgun silver. Once that was dry I added some lightning arcs with skull white and hawk turquoise. Once all that was dry I just brushed over a layer of Tamiya clear blue. Tamiya also makes clear red, green, yellow, etc. so if you wanted to do different power sword colors it makes it real easy.

Great looking color red on the marines. They have a rugged sensibility to them, as if they have been engaged in battle for days! I also like the illumination effect on the lens. I considered doing that myself, but dont have the testicular fortitude to attempt it . Nice work on the clean and symmetric yellow/black caution lines on the weapons.

Those are some stunning BA's eggroll!

Here is my humble submission for my BA successor chapter. Still need to come up with a name and some fluff, but here is a sanguinary guard in the color scheme.

@Thunderjaw -- excellent work on those Fleshtearers. I think the colors and your paint style is bold and saturated, which works great with this chapter. I love your Seth character, the color tones for the wings contrast well with the red armor!

@Winterdyne -- your terminators are unbelievably good! I bought a few of these space hulk models and I can appreciate the time and fantastic painting skill it took to finish these. The colors look amazing and the paint work is flawless. Your bases are simply incredible! Im sure there are many envious catachan players out there wanting your bases....great work!

@Ajefferism -- Your storm raven is awesome! The colors are smooth and the highlgihting is just my taste. I love a subtle highlight. Whats most impressive about your model is the attention you paid to your battle damage. You gave direction and carefully thought about your wear on this model. The paint chips taper back towards the rear of the model as if it was taking fire at highspeeds or pieces of shrapnel were ricocheting off the sides. Great work!

@Eggroll -- impeccable airbrush paintjobs on your vehicles. I love the dark, baroque period paintjobs you've given yoru characters. Your bases are simple yest add so much to the models, excellent idea. My favorite thing about your models has to be the illumination of your special and heavy weapons. I have never seen it done so well. Your heavy weapons are amazing and eyecatching! Fantastic work on all of your characters!

@pdawg517 -- nice work on your successor chapter. Blood Hammers sounds good but explore around the possiblities of the name. Looking at your model and working with the Blood hammers name, I came up with a few that might inspire you: Crimson Hammers, Blood Wardens, Keepers of Blood, Death Hammers, Baal Hammers, Bishops of Blood. Just some things to think about . I like the color scheme, in my experience those sanguinary wings are one of the hardest things ive had to paint and you did an excellent job on them. Base this beast and post another pic once he is finished!

Damn, you guys have commitment! I wanted to start an Angels Sanguine force last year, and I only got 5 assault marines painted in total, and even that took me quite some time. They turned out pretty nice, so I should really take some pictures and post them when I have the time.
