Would be nice to set up a "meet and greet" for Dakkites coming to WHW from outside the UK, kind of like a cultural exchange.

If arranged in advance a UK Dakkite could meet up and escort "out of town" Dakkites up to the holy of holy's for a beer and a game before ensuring the visiting Dakkite is seen safely onwards in their journeys.

Could be a great way to meet new gamers.

Great idea!

It would mainly be people already in the Nottingham area, of course.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

Absolutely, or those within relatively easy access.

For example, my "group" goes there about once a month, we're based in the Birmingham area.....so with some arrangment, anyone flying into Brum could hook up with us to go to WHW.....simples it's about 1 1/4 hours drive, which means a full day at WHW and a number of games with different opponents.

It might almost be better to go to the Eye of the Storm at Maelstrom for those who want to play games other than GW ones.

I wish to add a kind of 'Iron Man' challenge to this aspect. Namely those brave enough to tackle the Beef Madras served up in Bugman's Bar. Had that once. Oh the tears. The hot, spicy, searing tears of blood. Not for the feint of heart!

I tried that huge monstrosity of a burger they sell in Bugman's. Managed to finish it but didn't eat for two days afterwards.

The "fat bloke" is good, huge amount for a modest amount. Really they have some very good prices there, on a par with Wetherspoons for a UK comparison.

The one burger was a bit of an odd option, beef with fried banana on it, didn't try that, seems a bit too strange.
