C. Mercer, I bow to your tactical genius and would love to cut a unit of boys. However the boys would be very angry and I don't know how well I would hold up against 30 tiny choppas hacking me to pieces in my sleep. I can not do this. It is against the spirit and point of the army, and while Gork and Mork are clearly (I am loss free with this army after all despite playing a bunch of the recent MEQ's) smiling upon me, there is no way any of my boys get cut.

You may rise loyal subject .... anyway, reason I'm suggesting cut a unit of Boyz because you still have 150 which is damn lot and you've got limited options for dealing with certain builds though that amount of Boyz is going to be tough to deal with. With a unit dropped you could invest in two units of Lootas giving some valuable ranged anti tank so your Boyz can bash some heads instead of bashing tanks and then next turn getting shot to pieces. You still have some points left so add some Gretchin which are still a troop choice and hold objective, then switch the Warboss to a Big Mek with KFF which I think you're probably going to do from reading your comments. If you have any points get a single Deffkopter with buzzsaw which is useful for alpha strike . Still got loads of Boyz which is great but adds a little more flexibility and offence but keeps in your bizillion Boyz theme too . Give it a try at least and report in what you find

you could always drop the Killa Kanz and the Warboss and get Ghazgull as he fits into the lists theme better and his WAAAGH would let you have assaults alot more early.

Okay so relisting to 2,000 points, while retaining 180 boys (I am none flexible on this.)

Warboss w/PK, 'Eavy Armour and Attack Squig 105pts

Ork Boys w/ 3 rokkit launchas, nob and PK 245pts

Deffkopta w/ TL rokkit launcha, buzzsaw 70pts

15 Lootas 225 pts

So essentially this is the same army but with added lootas for suppressing fire, individual deffkoptas for annoyance factor and lots of rokkits (and deffguns for lighter vehicles) for tankbusting. I pondered over what to do about A14 vehicles but since only Tankbusta bombs (not reliable), Tankhammers and PK's are really capable of doing that semi reliably in the Ork army, I decided I have enough PK's to do me.

Could take out a single Loota for that last rokkit and Cybork on the warboss.

My DE would love to spam Splinter Cannon onto this list turn after turn and scoot away as you flail helplessly against it. If you're ever on vassal, I demand a challenge! *throws down iron gauntlet* but, seriously, this list has to look horrifying from across the table. So many bodies to chew through, pie plates or not, it would be a tough fight.

personally I'd do 3 groups of 5 lootas instead of one group of 15 that way you aren't skrewed when you roll a one or 2 and they only get one shot each. you have the space for 3 groups of 5 and also if one group shoots and kills its tartet the other 10 get to shoot at new targets, there really only isn't a downside imo

I agree with him too. Well said mate.

@Grim Smasha you can only scoot backwards so far before 6 feet of Orks get to your end of the table and there's nowhere to go my friend. I'm curious how much Splinter Cannon spamming you could do in 1,500 pts. Would you throw up your ideal list?

Thoughts:

If you go with lootas, and want 15, go with 3 squads of 5 or two of 7 and 8, rather than 1 of 15. You're looking for suppression fire, not destruction fire. 3x5 can suppress three units, 1x15 can kill one unit.

I like kommandos with your list. 15 more boys + snikrot coming in anywhere will cause your opponent fits - do they move closer to the green tide, or risk an early charge on a valuable unit by the kommandos.

I like putting the rokkits in the boyz units. I am not convinced of a viability of running three lone suicide koptas.

Nice army! Very small, very elite. I like it.

I use suicide koptas often inside other Ork armies. They never serve me wrong. I'll give 'em a try some time.

I personally love horde orks, the sight of being outnumbered like that often leads your opponent to make mistakes. I have to ask though... no boss polls?

Boss poles have rarely made enough of a difference for me to see them as necessary. I use big units and find once they're below 11 models in this army, they're only any good for backing up a larger surviving unit anyway.
