I've always wanted to make a Space Marine cosplay.

The tinfoil hat in me wonders if the quality of the costumes and the timing with the opening of the GW store are related...

I just find it hard to believe that anyone in China would be able to find so many 40K enthusiasts including so many girls, and motivate them to the effort needed to make all those costumes and learn the songs, choreography, and so on.

Anyways these are awesome! Never expected it to be cosplayers from China though(I mean Warhammer 40k is not even that well known throughout Asia outside of Japan, even in Korea where the poser game Starcraft is considered a national sport)

They are mostly college graduates, the oldest is not over 25
they spent 1 year making the cosplay accessories, all out of their own pocket. Their cosplay group leader ( the terminator with lightening claw ) started the plan 5 years ago.
The 10 ish of them travel all over the place , ate bad food, and might not even be able to afford the chinajoy cosplay event.
the girls are all their girl friends, classmates , friends. Not models.
