Bit of a long-term dream of mine, to get one imported. However, funds and reality always impinging on dreams!
You can get them built:

But apparently, the base cars are getting harder and harder to find...

07 Chargers aren't that expensive. Import costs may be around a couple thousand. It shouldn't have any problem meeting safety standards in your country.
Speaking of which, when the hell are the new episodes of Top Gear coming out? I have a season pass on iTunes, and Jeremy said they would be back in June. Don't lie to me, Mr.Clarkson!!

Yes!!
I can't wait.
Hopefully more Snowbine-shenanigans will ensue! Automatically Appended Next Post: If anybody ever needs to find a good repair manual for their car I highly recommend the repair manuals by Chilton. Manufacturer Shop Manuals are the best, however they are designed for ASE certified mechanics to use which means it will assume you know how to most tasks without explanations.

So what the hell is up with the no love for V6s?
I'm looking into buying a 2005 Mustang purely for Autocross and it seems like performance parts for V6 engines are hard to come by! No superchargers, no turbochargers, no crate engines, nothing!
I'm tired of all this! It's worse than people arguing who has the better WoW character. "Oh! My numbers are bigger than your numbers!! That means I'm better!!"
I'm sorry, but I feel no need for a 5.0L V8. The V6 does just fine. And maybe if you gave it a little more attention you would see that it is still an amazing engine despite having 2 cylinders less than the always popular V8s.
Now with the 2012 models it seems that Ford has realized that gas prices are going to continue to rise and more people will be looking for a smaller, yet still powerful engine. The 2012 base model Mustang boasts a powerful 3.7L V6 that's rockin' 305 HP @ 6500 RPM and 280 ft-lbs of torque @ 3500 RPM. AND the 2012 model has a smaller engine than the 2005-10 models. The older models had a 4.0L instead of the 12's 3.7L.
Ya see, kids. It's not the size of the engine that matters.

I love Top Gear. I understand their dislike of American cars (except Hammond, he loves muscle cars). Jeremy enjoys his exotic euro-super cars. They're sleek, stylish and all around works of art. American design just doesn't suit his exotic tastes.
My Mustang:

Nice Sang, imo white's a great color for them too.
As for Top Gear, they seem to bash everyone including eachother and Great Britain so its all good. I think Clarkson loves American design and sound; he's just not much of a fan of the build quality or handling especially before the 00's.

I loved the American Muscle car episode they did.
Clarkson was in the Corvette
Hammond was in the Charger
And May was in the Cadillac
I loved how they picked on Hammond for loving American Muscle cars so much. They called him the "secret american". Haha! It was one of my favorite episodes.

I have a 1993 Civic hatchback as my daily driver that's bone-stock.....for now
When (if) something happens to the engine, it's getting new crank, pistons, injectors, fuel pump, intake, turbo, and a suspension drop. I know I should just keep it stock, but I want to make it fast and blow it up

Hey, it's your car, you can do whatever the hell you want with it!
Civics have a TON of aftermarket parts. Playing around with the Civic shouldn't be to hard.
And if you are looking for a good repair manual, get the manual by Chilton.

Chilton is pretty good, but I also have access to Motors Alldata And yes, Civics are totally easy to work on...it only took me about 2 hours to do a water pump and timing belt.

Ah, I've never had to replace a timing belt before, but I hear it's one of the worst things to mess with besides the ignition (which I have done... nightmare)
I'll eventually replace the alternator in my car, along with most everything else.
I think my next big project is to remove the exhaust manifold and pipes. They are COMPLETELY rusted through. And the muffler looks damaged as well.
And this will probably be the only time I put serious consideration into a new exhaust because this is a 3.3L inline 6 that does create enough back pressure to actually make a difference in performance. 4 cylinder engines really don't have a problem with back pressure.

Really, as long as you don't screw up the timing, it's just another repair. Just pay attention to the timing marks and you're as good as gold
The only time I've had to mess with ignition was when I replaced the distributor in the civic...but ignition on four cylinder engines is pretty easy haha
Ick, good luck with the rust! I have an exhaust leak in my '02 S-10, but I don't have the money for new exhaust...the good thing is it's after the cat, so it doesn't throw a Check Engine Light

AutoZone is hit and miss thats for sure. My buddy was working on a 70s Ford pickup he was restoring, and needed an oil pan. So he called and went up to get it, it was in a big ol box so he figured looks good, he had been working on the thing all day and was tired and didnt check the box. When he got home it was a box of radiator hoses

A friend of mine went to the local AutoZone and asked girl behind the counter "Do you gave a blower motor for an 88 Firebird?"
...and the girl working behind the counter asked "That's a FORD Firebird, right?"
He turned around and left after that LOL

Got a check engine light on my Celica, now I moved recently and couldn't find my reader so I drove to autozone. Wouldn't read it for me?! Something about mechanics class action suit against parts stores in California. I had to buy a new reader, i just bought the cheapest one for $50 and it was a very minor issue, they will not let you return the readers. I looked it up on line, I guess it's not autozones fault, California is really screwy, I think too much sun puts the zap on peoples brains, glad I only have a few months left here.

Well at least now you have a handy new toy.
Unlike me when I tried to install an electronic ignition system in the place of points and condenser without a dwell meter. Didn't work out too well.

I have a soft spot for 1st gen neons. Lots of fun in a cheap to get and fix car. Plus, its great watching a bone stock DOHC stomp on hondas at the drag strip in bracket racing.
I am planning on a 2.4T build using a longblock from a PT GT. Using a mix of aftermarket and stock SRT4 parts. Rebuilt 5 speed with LSD. Nice stiff suspension. Should be a fun street and track car.
For the daily I have an 05 crown vic interceptor. Probably will leave it as is. I kind of want to take her down the track just to see what it will do. I have seen slips of mid 14s what appear to be stock with a 93 octane tune.

Oh man, a good friend just picked up a 2012 Ford Mustang GT on Tuesday...oh man, this was the first time I've driven a new 5.0, and I LOVED it. Don't get me wrong, I still dislike Ford the most out of the American brands, but that car is straight sex. I mean, I was going 80 mph shifting INTO third gear...by 5th I was doing 118...My cousin's husband has a Camaro SS, and I'd take the new Mustang over it. It has more room, it's faster despite the smaller engine, and I've only seen one other new GT in the area.
I WANT IT SOO BAD...makes me want to fork out the 35k for one LOL

Well, it pulls the same amount of horsepower as the Ford GT500...and if it's like the Camaro SS, it probably heavier than the Mustang (the SS is 500 lbs heavier than the GT IIRC). I've driven both cars, and the Mustang has more room (but not by much ). At this point, if I'm paying almost 50k for a supercharged V8, I'll get the GT500...we'll have to wait for more info on the ZL1 though
