I say sanguinius, because as the orks say, he's a zogging angel! But according to much of the fluff, it would be roboute guilman (sp?) who has a terrible name, it sounds like "robot gull man"

For Chaos, it has to be Magnus or Alpharius. They are both candidates for the smartest of all the Primarchs (Magnus having more raw intelligence, Alpharius Omegon more cunning), and their fall to Chaos was more interesting. Magnus succumbed to his personal hubris and the treachery of various forces in the Imperium (Russ, Valdor, etc.); Alpharius went traitor for the "right" reasons, although that seems to have fallen by the wayside now.

For loyalists, Sanguinius for being the most noble. Sanguinius should have been Warmaster by Horus' own admission, and he basically held the Loyalists together during the Siege, as well as being the only Primarch to face Horus in combat. See the post on the previous page for the list of all his awesomeness.

Sanguinius because he's the man. He died for the Imperium of Man knowing his death would help defeat Horus.

I think Yall need to remember Russ, he's so awsome he told Roboute to stick his book where the sun dont shine. Also being the best fighter, drinker, Eater, and loudmoth is pretty freakin awsome. Plus hes a bred spacemarine killer and so is his chapter.

Hardly the best fighter. He couldn't outfight the Lion (and got KO'd for like a day or two), he would have eaten it against Horus or Sanguinius, and Fulgrim/Angron/the Khan could have all probably given him a solid fight. Hell, even that nerd Magnus all but had him beat when Russ' blind spastic flailing got a lucky shot in. Biggest drinker and eater? Probably. Biggest loudmouth? Without a doubt.

He fought dirty, hitting when the fighs over. Thats a Loki trick right there and as far as victories go he was 3 behind Lion and Horus. But keep in mind he was created to keep everybody in line, kinda funny seeing as he is one of the most unorthadox Primarch/Chapter.

I'll play is safe.
Alpharius :
Spoiler:
Alpharius was told by The Cabal that siding with Horus and achieving victory for him would destroy Chaos as a grief-stricken Warmaster would annihilate humanity.

The Lion :
Spoiler:
The Lion was hinted to have waited to see who the victor of The Heresy was before choosing a side.

Correct me on either of these.

The thing is best what? I voted Curze anyway because his story is rather good, if I could pick 2 it would be Vulkan and Curze.

That being said, the 'best' Primarch was Guilliman. Not my favourite, but the best. My favourite is Alpharius.

Lol Roboute Guilliman slew the Alpha Legion's Primarch Alpharius on the planet of Eskrador.

Which, if he survived, is exactly what he would want you to think.

I don't know enough about them all to vote. I am really hoping the Heresy books will cover at least all of the loyalist Primarchs. I really want to know more about Vulkan. So far I like Ferrus the best. Still, need more canon!

Both of those are correct. I voted Sanguinus he's arguably an equal as the best fighter if not the best(Without all the demon powers I think he'd beat Horus) Not to mention he is the most noble and had no flaws except the wings which only made him more awesome.

Lets be honest, Alpharius Omegon is the most epic. Those of you who doubt his loyalty to the Emperor's cause: SHAME ON YOU! Are there chaotic elements to Legion XX? Yes, but the same can be said of every other space marine legion/chapter, the exception being Grey Knights. That being said, Alpharius Omegon not only has the advantage of numbers, he also is arguably the most brilliant primarch in terms of planning and warfare and has the constant element of surprise.

Horus' understanding of the human mind allowed Horus to find the best within his fellow Primarchs, allowing him to deploy the various Legions into battlefield roles that they were best suited to. He quickly learned of the skills belonging to the White Scars and Night Lords for rapid strikes, while the Imperial Fists and Iron Warriors would be at the forefront of sieges. Horus was said to wield the Space Marine Legions, and later the human soldiers of the Imperial Army, as a lesser general would position individual squads to perform to their advantages. He was also responsible for promoting competitive rivalries between certain Legions, rivalries that would overflow into outright hatred when the Great Crusade took a turn for the worse.

Alpharius was not better then Horus at planning and warfare.

Open warfare, probably not. When it came to infiltration, espionage, sabotage, subterfuge, guerilla tactics and general sneakiness, Alpharius was the man. Horus was the only Primarch to praise his unconventional tactics.

Well, if you call being a Daemon Prince nothing. Plus his legion is the only Chaos legion still united. He deserves at least as much credit for starting the heresy as Horus. He manages to go through all this while still not coming off as cartoonishly evil at any point. And to top it all off, the half of the Imperium that did not fall with him still follows his teachings, via the Lectitio Divinitatus.
