Erebus and Kor Phaeron deserve the credit. Lorgar spends most of his time being giddy about having something to worship, and has had nothing to do with running his Legion since the Heresy.

Neither would have been anything notable without Lorgar's original vision, and they certainly didn't write the Lectitio or get turned into Princes. The fact that Lorgar was raised at all, and has yet to be spawned, means he must be doing something pleasing to the gods. In any case, Erebus is also responsible for turning Horus, and Horus gets his name on the thing, so certainly you can't give all the credit to him.

Nope, that was Mortarion. Besides, Draigo is an abomination of fluff that should die (no offense to any Draigo fans, its just my opinion).

Russ hes a space viking werewolf what can be more epic then that. not only that put his chapter has held the the front lines on the eye of terror for centuries showing how strong they are.

Is that actually IN the codex? The idea of a space marine beating a primarch, daemon or no, is just silly. I hope the next Chaos incarnation has Typhus putting a messy end to the Khan's warp adventure or something, just to keep thing even.

Because Russ was an idiot and Sanguinous was everything the primarch's were supposed to be loyal, courageous, inspirational, and a genius in combat. Other Primarch's had only one or two thing that made them great where as Sanguinus excelled at everything. Plus without Sanguinus Emperor would not have beaten Horus

Agreed, though I'd prefer for Abaddon to take Cadia. Alas, GW is mainly run by Imperial Fans so that probably won't happen.

That was Mortarion, who apparently makes even Lorgar look like a badass, and that's saying something. I'm choosing to dismiss that part exaggeration by the GK storytellers, as the whole saga of Draigo reads like a fantasy told to young recruits. Then again, one would think GK would be all about the real and the nitty-gritty rather than fanciful tales that more belong with the barbarian Chapters (coughspacedogscoughcough).

I was going to answer the question originally, but this more than suffices. Although I probably would have levied more adjectives on Russ. Ah well, at least it was fun to read him begging like a bitch for Magnus to go quietly.

Russ was the leader of executioners, he did his job fine.

He got incredibly lucky. If Magnus wasn't feeling contrite about breaking the Emperor's little toy, there wouldn't even be a Space Wolves Legion today.

What do you base that on? Russ brought along sisters off silence you know.

Magnus gave him the victory.

A - If Magnus wanted, he could have had the whole fleet annihilated before they even reached Prospero.
B - If not the above, with that much advance warning, the Prospero fleet could have been set for an ambush rather than being sent away.
C - The orbital defenses could have been active, capturing the Imperial fleet between them and the ambushing Prospero fleet, instead of casually allowing them to bombard the planet and land where they wish.
D - The PDF would have been prepared and entrenched, rather than in parade gear and caught completely by surprise.
E - The Thousand Sons would have been organized and ready to meet the enemy, rather than half of them meditating in their private chambers.
F - The Thousand Sons would have been aware of the Silent Sisters and known to snipe them from the start, rather than half way through the battle when they finally showed up.
G - Magnus had Russ beat. He pulped one of his hearts and then impaled him straight through (Russ eventually died/was dying from those wounds according to some fluff), crushed both of the great wolves Russ brought along to fight with him (cheater), and was in the process of frying him like an egg when

Russ cried out in agony. His blade lashed out blindly and struck a fateful blow against his foe’s most dreaded weapon: his eye.

Hell, even that last part was probably set up by Tzeench since he didn't want to lose his toy after all that set-up.

Face it, if Magnus wasn't actually one of the most loyal of the Primarchs and didn't feel that the Emperor would need the Space Wolves in the coming battle (he didn't, they showed up once the battle was already decided), there would be no Space Wolves. There's a reason why Horus considered Magnus in many ways as dangerous as the Emperor.

Really like Fulgrim (awesome Book) but had to pick Mangus. The dude doesn't even have a real body anymore and is still alive!

And then there's Ahiriem (i know thats not how you spell it, oh well), who is the coolest character period, and possibly the next Chaos God.
