I have serious concern that those posting the theme songs from anime do not actually understand the words and would not stand by their decisions if you took the video footage away.

I actually have a mass of J-pop in MP3 form in my iTune's library (EDIT: All the themes I listed I have in full audio). Hell. iTunes actually sells J-pop now. Good luck finding the song you want though they change all the titles and the artists often don't even have the same name in english.

Not even sure if its an official theme song, but I suspect this has been used in Appleseed, if not something similar.

Isn't that the series the video clip from beastie boys Sabotage parodies.
OH YEAH, i couldnt believe no one else had this one before this! i used to love this show so much that when i was 5 i temporarily changed my name to Tommy, and would not respond to my real name!

Someone already mentioned GIS 2nd Gig but here is another that I believe is post worth, Opening Theme to the first season of Gunslinger Girl titled "The Light Before We Land" by The Delgados

Okay, FITZZ, MGS and Monster Rain:
S.W.A.T - used to give me goosebumps when that show came on!
The Equalizer - Stewart Copeland at his finest!
That song from South Park was great as well.

and if we're going to video game commercials:
"But i'm more than just a little curious, how you're planning to go about making your amends, to the dead?" -The Noose-APC
"Little angel go away
Come again some other day
The devil has my ear today
I'll never hear a word you say" Weak and Powerless - APC
The theme from S.W.A.T, or rather my reaction to it, is responsible for me breaking my arm as a little Fitzz.
I got the 45 record, put it on...started leaping about my room in emulation of S.W.A.T. members depicted on the show...took a tumble off my bed...snap.
I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

Every officer knows that "the snap" could come at any moment! sucks that a promising career was cut short at an early age! My cousin was always the sniper (robert urich?), and i was always the leader. well, until we started fighting....
And thanks for reminding me of 45's. as if i wasn't feeling old already.

Yes, I was quite saddened by it...my asperations to be Hondo gone in an instant..
Sorry about making you feel older bro...but hell, your in good company.
And BTW, Robert Ulrich played Street, don't remember the name of the actor who played the sniper, but his name in the show was T.J.

Fething hell this takes me back. I remember when I was about 7 and couldn't sleep, I used to sneak downstairs and turn on the TV onto Fox Kids and watch the very early morning (12am-3am) TV shows; this was one that particularly stuck
Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
