i'm lucky in the sense my fiance enjoys helping me paint...but i still must keep her appeased as well. As she does me the 'favor' of helping me paint...even though she enjoys it, she says she does it to bond.

I'm happy to hear that you have that look on how this works...that very naive look, mind you. You'll be back, they always come back. As much fun as it sounds, to me personally, to watch/read about an 'ante' game, I highly suggest you don't do it. Pack the models up, put em in a box, into the closet it goes. You'll be bringing it back out sooner than you think.

I'm pumped. Got in a few practice games today, good to go.
There has been a lot of pms and email back and forth, so here is what we've got going on tomorrow at 4:

-4000 point game between two armies that remain secret, but guesses and possible feints made. Really deep intrigue and wondering of "is he serious? Is he really bringing x instead of y? ( I'll post the juicy bits later).
-We agreed to a single FOC, no additions just a lot of points.
-Regular missions and deployment, roll for these.
-The prize got toned down to $200 worth of models, based on what those models cost NIB. The winner gets to choose as he likes, with the exception that the loser gets to make up to three choices of models he wishes to keep.
-We're gonna ( at least I will) film as much as possible, but livestream is too complicated/ostentatious/a pain in the butt.

We're both graduates of college with engineering degrees, so expect a complicated game with some formidable smart dude.. stuff.

We both hope you will be entertained. I'll post a link to a batrep when done.

Don't worry, you'll have plenty of time after you're married. Those periods will go away...except for the monthly ones! lol

Man, I think I'd totally take you up on this if I lived in Houston. 4,000 points of my army is only about 1/5. Question is do you allow superheavies hehehehe.

Texas took pictures but quck summary: SW vs NIDs. I tailored toward the 2/3 chance of a objective game but we rolled annihilation pitched battle. With all the pts flying around he was able to put everything inreserve and outflank everything like a mofo. With all my rhinos it was somewhat easy killpoints for him.
Nids won by quite a bit of KP but VPs was closer.

4k definately pushes the limits of the force org chart and both of ours were filled with max upgrades. Needless to say big ass nids with 6 wounds are tough cookies.

How did he outflank like a mofo? Only scouts can outflank and the 1 troop a tyrant can let outflank.
