Bought direct from GW:
2x Finecast Zoanthropes, various paints.

Bought from my FLGS:
New Necromancer (full GW RRP), various paints (50% GW RRP).

Would have bought more, but things have gotten in the way (not GW's pricing either).

I'm still buying GW models, but I said I would be finishing my Dark Eldar army before I stopped buying anyway. Although with the way things have been going for me lately financially, I'm probably going to slow back down again for a while. Before the Dark Eldar release I had already stopped purchasing things from GW or the local store and stuck strictly to second-hand models or nothing at all, and then when the DE were released I started buying models regularly, and paying full retail for them.

In the past few months I think altogether I've gotten 3 boxes of incubi (two "Finecast", one metal), two venoms, and two boxes of scourges. But I also bought the Battletech Introductory Box Set, started collecting 4th edition D&D books, and I'm still really interested in the Haqqislam minis for Infinity.

Since Fine Cast was announced, I have picked up the following products.

1 Pewter Unicorn on sale at the FLGS for 50% off
1 OOP wood elf mage mounted on horse for the unicorn on Ebay
1 OOP Forest Dragon that will need to be stripped also on Ebay.

Total spent $35.

I have (10+) armies in the area of 3k+
Bretonion, Wood Elf, High Elf, Space Marines, Dark Angels, Blood angels, Eldar, Tau, and Guard, and Death Korps of Krieg. I am going to be reducing my collection soon, as its too expensive to keep collecting and it’s just not fun anymore.

Curiously enough I hadn't bought anything directly from GW in many years (not including FW books).

Since the "hike" I have bought the new necromancer and a Finecast Lord Inquistitor and Coteaz, all at a GW store.

I don't attribute this to anything other than my own conveinience* since I was near a GW store, but then I'm not really up-in-arms about recent developemnts anyway. This is only differant in that usually I would wait and visit Wayland for a bulk order + discounts.

I have also bought the Kampfgruppe Normandy book from WH Historical as well.

* keen to try out finecast and get a wizard for the Pimp my Wizard Comp. So really I blame Dakka!

A bought a Space Marines Blood Angels Dread Nought and a Space Marines Grey Knights Dread Knight and 2 Space Marines Storm Ravens to put them in.

Then I got some Necron Marines allies for my Space Marines Blood Angels. The codex says it's OK.

I have not bought anything, but that is mainly because I have been buying a lot for my Italian Bersaglieri army.
I plan on buying another Chimera soon, and maybe an Cadian infantry squad to convert into some veterans.

This is my situation. I tend to buy second-hand, OOP models if I'm buying 40K personally. I did receive a vindicator direct from GW as a Christmas present, which was a very nice and thoughtful gift from a family member who felt completely cheated when I showed them how much they could have paid had they visited Miniature Market instead. I'm also a supporter of non-GW wargames and miniatures, although my budget doesn't allow me to make the kind of purchases shared here.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

Well I am currently building a 2500pt Silver Skulls space marine army. I tried to buy most of it before the price hike. I have purchased some things on ebay: blackreach dreads are a steal! Since the price hike I have bought a LR, speeder, terminator librarian (and he has some flaws I am not happy about), and will probably buy a rhino/razor today. I make as many purchases as I can at my FLGS. I am even getting them to order bits for me.

I am also buying lots of third party bits to customize my army. I don't know what is going on in Poland but they have some awesome/creative casters over there.

Once I polish off this army (only missing a few pieces now) I shouldn't have to buy anything for a long time. My old tau army is going to collect dust until they are revamped. I have no desire for any other armies outside the two that I have. Down the road I may buy some models just to build and paint them. (i love tanks!)

GW puts out great models and their prices have yet to totally push me away. And I do so love the 40k lore. However, I do have my eye on them and do think they have a bunch of moneygrubbing crooks running the show.

I have bought:

From GW:

A Cockatrice.

A box of Catachan Jungle Fighters.

Tallarn Flesh and Red Gore Paint.

From my FLGS:

A Catachan Company Command Squad.

A box of Empire Knights.

2nd Hand:

20 Ork Nobz.

A Black Reach Warboss.

Wow, the list of stuff that I have bought looks bigger when I actually write the list, my wallet looks much thinner now.

Battlefleet Gothic is surprisingly fun.

"If you really want to know what it was like, to fight in the air in the great War, then go up to someone you have never met and who has never done you the slightest harm and pour a two-gallon tin of petrol over them. Then apply a match, and when they are nicely ablaze, push them from a fifteenth-floor window after first perhaps shooting them a few times in the back with a revolver. And be aware as you are doing these things that ten seconds later someone else will quite probably do them to you. This will exactly reproduce... the substance of First World War aerial combat and will cost your country nothing. It will also avoid the necessity of ten million other people to die in order for you to enjoy it."

I am a college student who makes way to much money and too much down time after work.

And of all that, nothing of that is completed. Most of it is half assembled. And what is assembled isn't even primed.
