I didn't get Net access until the summer of 2002, and it was sometime in late Autumn I found Dakka while searching for something 40K related. Had never seen a forum before, so kept quiet and lurked for over a year.

Joined in Jan 2004 under the username Captain Reaper (might have been Captain_Reaper) not sure, but I didn't post a lot, but kept an eye on the forum.

When the site moved to new servers in 2005? I didn't switch right away, and when I eventually switched, took my chance to take a new name I was using elsewhere. fuzzy_spiral, which is a npc for my Werewolf the Apocalypse games. Also on this site still. I have the username as a Known user, as I do know them, its me.

Sadly I had my first PC die in 2006, and I got into WoW when I got my second, and just sorta lost this site, it went off the radarfor a while as it wasn't in my new PCs bookmarks. Finally after being on Warseer as this name for a few years, I was getting fed up, and came to here from a link at Warseer in 2008. Slapped my forehead and thought dang totally forgot about this place, and rejoined using that same name I have at Seer.

Had forgotten my original username until reccently, and don't have access to the email if I wanted to change, which I don't. Glad really as I don't think fuzzy_spiral has the same ring as MDS.

Seems more of a tale than it should be, but it explains why I reference three names in my bio.

Forever alone

Well, I stumbled upon H.B.M.C's review of Codex: CSM back in early '08, and signed up a while later. Being 14 at the time, I did some stupid things, got called out for it, and dropped off sometime last year. I decided to come back recently, in the hope that I could find more like-minded individuals and demonstrate how I've matured.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I started lurking over a decade ago but only got onto the forum a few years back. In my day there was no forum... there were Tyranid Picnics, though.

I recently started the hobby and typed "Warhammer painting forum" into Google and checked all the top forums and looked at which had the most active users and this forum had the most by far.

I just assume that the numerous cigar burns and erotic tattoo that I woke up with happened at the same time as me signing up here.

I think when you search for something 40K related in google often a DakkaDakka forum thread will pop up. So I think that's how I found it.

A few years ago I was looking for undead orge conversions and when I typed it into google I stumbled upon a thread that contained not undead ogres but an ogre kingdoms army and a kitbash of a black night. The ogre tyrant looked so good it inspired me to do an ogre kingdoms army myself. Sadly the thread never showed the army get completed. But I looked at some other threads and saw some of the amazing models that were on display so I signed up.

On a boat, Trying not to die.

As I was a wee lad when I joined DakkaDakka a year ago, I was looking at all the humor images with some pals. I decided to leave Miniwargaming, a site I was on and a smaller site in the larger Wargaming continuum to come here. TBH, I can pinpoint the precise moment at which I realized that I joined Dakka Dakka.

So that's the story of how Chowderhead joined. I became a DCM in March of this year, and don't regret any of it.

I was looking at a better forum to discuss Battlefleet Gothic.

Relicnews is just for news of Relic games...its not the same as Dakkadakka in that it has no ties to wargaming whatsoever.
