Beautiful paint job, certainly doing the model justice

What are the planned clours for the head? I know you mentioned bone?

Im looking at doing tamiya spray paint "wood deck tan" for the head. very similar to bleached bone (tieing it into the kneepad and script). I use it for all of my deathwing termies, and I can't think of any better colours. I read online that large amounts of metalic colors look bad on flat areas (so there goes a brass head). Do you guys have any ideas?

I used to use tamiya colours myself and i think deck tan would suit it quite well with the right shading.

You could still incorporate the brass in the metalwork that is around the edges of the head and eyes?

Absolutely stunning stuff man! subbed. I have used almost this exact paint scheme on my Baneblade (built to look like an ancient, holy tank). For all the antique brass trim, I mixed Vallejo game dwarf bronze with a little beasty brown. If you want some weathering ideas for this paint scheme, look at the Defiler in GW's How To Paint Citadel Tanks book. My Baneblade has never been finished, but this might impress me to work on it more

Oh goodness....scariness: 1500pt apocalypse game october first, and I am expected to field Leprechaunis Rex in it. Better get to work! Have a 1500pt mechanized tau army prepared, so I have a backup, but my girlfriend wants to play and lacks the firepower to use her eldar. Guess Its time to put on the afterburners on this project!

1500pts? Leprechaunis Rex = 1450pts, what are you going to spend your other 50 pts on? Also, what weapons is he having?

Im planning on making him a titan killer. Only the game master knows I have this guy, so Im hoping I go second, keep him in reserve, and then bring him in shooting first turn. Looking at turbo laser, laser blaster and volcano cannon. that way I get 5-5" and one ordinance 7" destroyer hits a turn. On the other hand, two laser blasters and a turbo laser might be fun too. Looking at bringing 5 ratlings or a imp command squad

Good choice of weapons, but I think it will be the ratlings that swing it for you!

Yeah, volcano cannons are overrated

Things are looking great here, Aeroroot! (Though I must confess, I got this thread mixed up with acolite's Chaos Reaver threat and got really confused when I saw the paint )

Keep up the great work!

If haven't already magnetized the torso/hip joint be aware that the torso is extremely back heavy, especially if you have the head removeable as well. My first attempt made the whole thing fall backwards off the legs if the head was removed. I suggest a combination of a large post and magnets.

Please God tell me the shamrocks aren't staying?

Well, if you dont like the shamrocks, you probably wont like what ive done next. In my haze of painting at 3am and such, I have made amazing progress, but still am behind in my schedule. As I bought this titan second hand, I dont know if they will give me a new piece, but ill try it. Anyway, on with updates
[Thumb - IMAG0108.jpg]
Magnets! one in the centre, and two others on the sides. magnetizes to the top of the arms on the torso.

[Thumb - IMAG0111.jpg]
torso is looking almost decent.

[Thumb - IMAG0112.jpg]
bad image i know, but it certainly gives a sense of scale

[Thumb - IMAG0114.jpg]
and finally, bonejangles is watching you.
