So, any other armies? We've got Orks, Tau, Marines of varying stripes, and Dark Eldar. What about 'nids? 'crons? SOB? IG?

Maybe to mix it up a little, what's the smallest model count possible for a full 500 point army with each race?

For Orks, I think I got in 8 models:

HQ:

3 Nobz as troops 90

on the dot 500

Smallest Model wise for nilla marines is Captain on Bike and 2x 3 Marine Bikers.

From C:SM "If your army includes a captain on Space Marine bike, Space Marine bike squads of at least five models may be taken as troops choices"

so the smallest for Nilla Marines is still 1 captain and 2 5 man squads (a total of 11 models). Attack bikes, though, count as two models, right? Does that mean the smallest is 9? 2 4 man squads each with attack bike and a captain?

The smallest both point and model wise for C:SM is:
Captain
5 Man Scout
5 Man Scout

11 Units, 250pts.

Tau can't even beat the other armies in the smallest army competition. =[.

Ethereal

6x Fire Warriors

13 models, 170 points.

Since it was just stated briefly earlier, Nids:

Technically the rippers can't hold objectives, but it is still the smallest possible coming in at 140pts and 7 models.

And hadn't even thought about the Nobz. I'd actually go with the Banner, myself, instead of the Painboy. Maybe some Big Choppas, and give the nobz Shootas instead of Sluggas? (it's actually a free upgrade.)

I don't know. Ethereal is pretty useless. Makes your firewarriors extra two points each for only 1+ BS and they aren't even tougher? When he dies he gives everyone preferred enemy...If that isn't trolling i don't know what is.

No good, Inquisitors allow henchman mobs to accompany them, but do not turn them in to troops. So the smallest point list for grey knights is still Corteaz w/ 2 squads of 3 acolytes.
