Hi all!

Figured getting some input and feedback on my work would kick me in gear to get some work done

So I'm starting off with some brand new pics of my first finished terrain pieces, all of them made from the Battlefield accesories kit and mounted on foamboard.

The theme for my board, which currently is just a battlemat, the three pieces above and some primed ork barricades, will be overgrown ruins claimed by orks. So i pose a question to you:

Should i go with a more jungle type board or more eurpean forest?

Also, C&C is appreciated.

I'll also be posting some pics and updates on my Orks and the GF's DE army as they progress.

Update! Finally!

Been awhile since I posted bu I've been mad busy with the festival season and stuff. Sweden Rock was awesome this year!

So, without further due, some pics of stuff I've done:

Some Grots! Perfect for walking sandbags for my Lootas Or just staying back camping objectives.

Snikrot! By far one of my favourite Ork chars. So cool, love the model, pose, fluff and everything. I try to field him as often as I can.

And I've given my warboss some much needed love.

Here's an old pic for reference, and as you can see, I've gone from Goffs to Deff Skullz:

My warboss and Snikrot together. I tried painting Snikrot lighter that my other Orks to fit in with his fluff (did the same with my other kommandoz):

While I was at it, I gave my Nobz some love, now with WYSIWYG PK's and BP's:

Check out the nob to the right, yes, he's rolling gangsta-style! After i realized I'd glued a "left" PK on for his right arm I had to change his gun hand to match ^^.

And the "Before-shot":

Painted up the trukk from the Ork battleforce (Yeah, that was a crappy investment...) Rarely field it, if I do, it's for the lulz of kareen

And yeah, magnetized!

And this is what I'm up to now, more kommandoz, and fixing up the ole' ones:

C&C is more than welcome.

Kommandoz are done! Here's a group shot of my sneaky gitz and Snikrot.

I think I'm starting to get hang on painting Orkskin and the colour blue. Still really need to work on my reds and whites... this has been painfully apparent in my current project:

Looted Dreadnought ( Deff dreadd with 2x skorchas)

It's based of the AoBR dread with bitz from the Deff Dread kit and two spare burnas
Gotten some paint on it since the photo but it also suffered a terrible accident when i dropped on the floor...

Great looking Orks! Snikrot is one of my favs as well, alongside Kaptin Badrukk (please excuse if the spelling of his name is wrong, I haven't done anything with my Orks for some time). More please.

P.S. Butterfingers. J.k. Hope the damage on your looted Dread isn't too extensive.

Thanks for the input FearPeteySodes! Yeah, I really like the colors and fluff of the Deff Skullz, plus, it opens up for alot of cool looted stuff

Productive day

Went to LFGS and bought some warbikers (for bitz) and "accidently" ordered 3 Battlewagons...

Stricken with sudden inspiration I glued up this monster:

Yup, thats the AoBR warboss on a bike, I chopped of his arms and gave him the Biker Nob arms, some greenstuff work still to go and some minor adjustments. I need to fix that shoulder of his.....

But as promised, Deffy has dried up nicely:

And work continues on my buggies, not enough progress for a pic yet. As soon as I get the wheels however...

Still no wheels for my buggies....

So while I wait for those, here's my Warboss on bike!

Finished model and gotten some of the base colors on him

Edit: Wow, I see he needs some clean up... I'll get to that tomorrow.

However, as I'm going away for the weekend, to great country in the west (Norway) to visit family, I won't get photos up of everything 'til next week

Thanks Brian!

Now, time for an update!

I've been sick lately and quite busy with stuff so not alot of progress but here we go:

Buggies! Got 3 rokkit buggies ready to zoom into combat.

Main body from AoBR koptas with wheels and bits from the warbiker kit. Add green stuff and love for effect.

My biggest project however has been this:

And groupshot after priming and magnetizing (with progress shot of bikeboss):

No less than 3 Battlewagons primed and ready. Fully magnetized so every option is availiable. I have however only assembled it for one. The rest will have to make due with deffrolla, Grot Rigger and up to 2 big shootas or 1 BS and 1 rokkit (the turret is magnetized to use either BS or Rokkit). All options are interchangeable with each BW.

And what I've been doing tonight:

Assembling and sorting my infantry! So far I'm missing 4 boyz (will buy tomorrow) and that's it. Then it's time for the paintorksalypse!

Those are some seriously good orks Throndar. The powder blue on the trukks is just great! You've got a lot of work cut out for you there with all those vehicles and troops to paint. Looks like you've got the skills though, just a matter of patience.

These Orks look excellent. I love the mud effect on the truck. Is that just from drybrushing?

Grakmar, the mud on the wheels is PVA Glue mixed with GW Modelling sand. Painted with Calthan Brown and washed Devlan Messiah and the drybrushed Calthan brown.

Gitsplitta, I'll definatly keep going, and expect to see some more greenskins getting some paint soon. By the look of things I think I'm even getting the hang of mini-photography.

On a sidenote, WOOO! "Final" boyz assembled and ready for priming (hopefully) tomorrow.

That means that I have all the components for basically every armylist I want for up too 2k points! Ranging from fun but not competitive Kan-/Dread-walls to really fun, random mixed lists to the more comp. BW-spam list I am working on (which will span from 1500, 1750, 2000 to the final stage of 2500 pts).

I have some lists in the Army lists section, maybe I'll spam some here if you're interested.

Hopefully there will be an update after the weekend. Bikeboss is dangerously close to completion. It has however been quite rainy here so I haven't gotten around to spraying the final models....

Ok, so I didn't get any work done this weekend since I was busy partying and hanging out GF, friends and family

But today I sat down finished my Bikeboss. Then as I sealed him DISASTER struck! FROSTING!

It looks worse IRL...

Tips for fixing frosting will be gladly received! As far as I understand I should get some Gloss Spray Varnish, spray him, let him cure for atleast 24H the spray with matt varnish that isn't GW purity Seal.

Not totally bummed out I decided to get some work in on my Lootaz, here's a WIP shot:

PS. All my models have now been primed, so it's Paintorkalypse-time!

Yes, that should help you a great deal. Also, take a soft-bristle toothbrush, and clean the model, first.

In future, for ANY spraypaint, always spray a test surface, first. A variety of things can kill a can (heat, humidity), and you want to make sure you're good to go.

Also, do not spraypaint in extreme heat, extreme cold, or high humidity.

Thanks for the toothbrush tip! Should I wash the model first also, with like water and soap and let try before I go again?

And yeah, lesson learned. Always test a spray on something else first
