I found the original post tedious, tiresome, and filled with misused apostrophes. I didn't bother to read past the first few paragraphs. Normally, I would just mutter "meh," and pass on, but I felt compelled to comment because of the OP's thin-skinned reaction to criticism. Surtur, if you are going to attack someone using satire, it is hypocritical of you to be whining when you are attacked in return with hyperbole.

I can find one apostrophe, and yes I see now it should be its instead of it's. I didn't react to criticism. I reacted to basically being called a douche which is against the forum rules. I have yet to reject criticism leveled at me, but you demand that I sit through straight slanderous remarks and treat them as critique. If you say "meh" or have valid complaints, that's fine. I'm sorry I gave such a long and boring post and then forced you to not only read it but read all of the comments on it which led to you posting about how you stopped reading after a few paragraphs but found the thread important enough to read the comments and see that I complained about being called a douche which led me to respond to you and now I have this huge run on sentence which must really offend your grammar sensibilities since one mistake apparently fills a page.

You were not attacked. Your post was criticised for having a smug & self-satified tone. That is not the same as someone saying, "Surtur, you are a douche." This right here is a problem. My last post was a bit light-hearted, with the wink and stuff, but this is fairly insulting of you. You have no way of knowing if we do anything of significance, you just assume we're all less than Mat Ward. He writes rules (some OP, some fine) and he writes fluff (badly). How do you know none of us have written books? Or are famous musicians? Or famous actors. It's well known that Robin Williams, Vin Diesel, and Will Smith play Warhammer. I could be one of them. I'm not, but my point is it isn't impossible for one of them to be on here, and you tell us that we aren't as important as Mat, we haven't done anything significant. I consider all three actors (well, maybe not VD) more significant than MW. The problem is your assumption. And, for your information, I work for a medical company and I'm a teacher at the same time (no, I don't feel the need to explain how I have time to do both) and influence the minds of youth AND provide much needed medical care to those who require it. So yes, I do more than a guy who writes rulebooks for entertainment: I help people. But if you feel the need to make personal attacks against those of us who are "less" than Mr. Ward, who we are lightly ribbing on, it's time to step back a bit and see who your targets are. Thanks.

I'm assuming, at this point anyway, that none of you haters have any form of credentials that give your opinions any sort of noteworthiness. You're all just blowing hot air at this point.

I understand your post was verbally directed at Battle Brother Ambrosius, but it's really directed at all of us making jokes about him. It's human nature to crack jokes about others. We chose to bust on Mat. I joke at his expense, and you know what? I play Blood Angels. I play Fantasy Chaos Daemons. I play Space Marines. But I will crack jokes about his fluff. I will make fun of "blood this" and "blood that." And saying "you aren't special like Mat" is just a nicer way of posting "you suck, because you aren't as good as Mat."

And you ask for further qualifications? We have a voice and we're on the internet. Those are all the qualifications we need. Yes, this is a troll-reply to a troll-post. This paragraph right here is a humorous/sarcastic response to follow up my previous two serious messages.

You do not ask people who are they and why do they criticize Ward. You attack people outright by telling them they are nothing compared to him. You may defend your Matt Ward, but telling people they are somehow lesser than him is hypocritical.

I do not like what Ward does because it is just populism. He makes army x insanely overpowered because people like that army. This is GW brainwashing you to buy their "new and awesome army that cannot be beaten". Lots of people who have built their army with hard work are now encouraged if not pressed to also play as army x, because their old army cannot stand a chance againt it. I for one, do not go along the flow, therefore I criticize Ward for making every single codex he writes so unbelievably broken that even a chipmunk could play with that nonsense, such as deepstiking Land Raiders.

Besides, this is a free world. No one has to prove they are something big before they start criticizing someone. Do I have to be a president to criticize what another president does?

There hasn't been any whining-I have simply disagreed with your accusational and demeaning remarks. And I posted above what I've done-I work in the education field AND the medical field. Both provide more of a service for others than writing rulebooks for a gaming company. I personally have no hatred for Mat, I play his books and enjoy the armies. But I have no qualms of joking around at his expense. You, however, have demonstrated having no sense of humor and are portraying yourself as the "leave Britney alone" guy, only changing 'Britney' to 'Mat.' When I put out "juvenile jokes," I admit to them-hence my last post with the "non-serious final paragraph." I have offered intelligent, well thought out arguments, but I have disagreed with you and your arrogant, condescending manner. That does not constitute whining. Yes, it started as a light hearted joke. It changed quite a bit when you insulted everyone on here as doing nothing important with life because we are simply "not Mat Ward."

Certainly everyone here is ALLOWED to critique.

Should they be listened to? That is another matter.
