As for the skin tone, maybe stay away from green all together?

Maybe red or purple or even bright pink to show some serious radiation side effects!

My plan is along that line. I was going to mess with the skin tone to show where the ork spored from and what kind of contamination they where exposed to.

Got a few ideas brewing but all of your guys suggestions are helping move it along.

So playing around with the different colors for ork skin.

Came up with this. Its Iyanden Darkson with a Ogryn Flesh wash. And then a wash of Leviathan Purple.

I think it will work for radiation affected skin.

Always good to see some non-green green-skins

A cool idea for mutie orks is to add an extra limb coming out of those circular patches some of the torso's have on the back, perfect fit

Small update

Got more done of the 'ard boyz mob. almost to the same point as the fist 5. Then have to finish the arms.

Hmmm, not exactly what I was thinking of, but here's a link to shockwave's nurgle orks. Should be loads of inspiration in there! (the last page is on a different topic though, so ignore that )

There will be more. The mutant orks are a side project from my main ork army. Unfortunately they will be slow going.

I haven't forgotten my mutant orks. Everything has kind of been put on hold. even my Brazen Klawz. Still been painting but just not my little green men. Been working on the nursery since my wife and I found out we are having a boy. So there will be more to come just have other things I have to finish first.

This is an awesome idea. I may have to try something like this with my leftover boyz.
