Overall 7/10 (would give 8 if not the base)

Yeah... that will change. Really I'm surprised you think the model is that good. Lets just say I got tired of building and felt like painting/basing something? You are correct the base was an afterthought, but also an experiment, I was playing around with using cured plaster. I think it came out well and I'm going to use it instead of cork to simulate broken up concrete shapes and rubble. I'm aiming to spend just as much attention on my bases/terrain as on my figures. I'm taking ALL suggestions as to extra details I can put on an industrial warzone type base (could be Cadia, but I won't make it that specific that people couldn't imagine it being on some other planet).

Just got more terrain effects in the mail yesterday, and I still want to play around with the bases. I really want it to look like these guys are wading through a warzone

Actually I think the base is pretty cool... It's barren, plain & simple, yet effective as it looks "realistic". Which helps in anchoring the model into a grimdark universe, at least to me.

I just forgot to comment on it the first time !

Yeah, like I said, I just used plaster of paris and let it cure in a sheet, then broke it up and glued the pieces back on. that way the pieces fit together. The only downside might be that it is a bit fragile compared to resin... but it looks exactly like concrete and I can make any sort of rubble I can imagine. I'm just making sure it gets a thick coating of glue and primer. Really it just needs a few details like grass and some puddles, and some war debris, will make them look more realistic. I even got a package of those Wargames factory skeletons and I'm planning to put burned carcasses on them
