The only concern is more green which might make the Slann appear "more of the same". Having said that, I'm sure you have a plan.

Back OT, that slaan looks great! I agree with green on green however. Seems...odd.

I think the frog should be called Mekon instead. Much more apt for a big headed green thing that can't walk on his own

... and this morning, finished. Damn close to the wire.

A close 4th place I think (as in there was this, and the three placed winners on the table at the end), coupled with a heart-stopping moment as Darren Latham fumbled the piece (possibly as a result of it not being secured to the plinth) and snapped the skink priest off. Nothing not fixable within 2 minutes of getting home. 2 pins for me this year. :-)

I thought that you atleast had the second place...
The figure itself is beautiful, and full of (well fitting) colours.
The only dissapointment is that the Stegadon is not named "Snowball"

I wasn't expecting the two small monsters to place, but it was hard to see them in the cabinet. I did expect the Scabiethrax to go in, I was awed by the hairy back. Rare to see that done well.

That is one sexy beast! Well done!

Only changes I would suggest would be:

- OSL the Slann's eyes to suggest depthless power and to differentiate it more from the other models
- The all gold side banner heads on the left and right of the Slann should be painted in the red and teal pattern as well to break up all that gold

Nitpicking + only IMHO.

I especially like how you posed the 2 skinks that suggest they are hollering and telling everyone to get out of the way of the big boss toad.

Sigh... I'm waiting to see what the complete awesome the bronze to gold winning entries must be in order to top this piece. Where can I find pics?! #%@$

Dude, you're the boss. I'll see what I can do about the side banners, but I wouldn't touch the Slann's eyes, he's already pretty light, and the OSL would be lost I think, unless very strong and contrasting, which would look wrong.
