I'd just say sand the armoured ankles back on the catachans and wrap some greenstuff round the ankle bit and just make sorta rings with it, like on the tallarn models then give them capes and cadian lasguns I think the tallarns are using and you've got some more tallarn models that are way more customisable so you can have a massive variety of poses.

I love this. The Tanith 1st and only was my first gaurd army I had ever done, way back around 2002. I had very poor painting skills and did not do them any justice. I'd give anything to have all those models back again (Sold them to a friend), now that I've seen the creativity and effort you've put into yours. I love it! Keep up the great work, (Still can't believe you let Elijah Cu slip into your ranks....).

The woodgrain on those guns looks fantastic, what colours are you using?

This all looks really nice, especially the wood pattern, but especially making little changes to these otherwise solid, copycat metal models to not only make them look unique, but also to make them look like not only guard models, but tanith models to boot.

Also, you've done a very nice job with the camo on the cloaks, you don't see good camo often.

Loving the Nalwood stocks! Quick tut on that? I'm running Vostroyans and my wooden stocked lasguns don't look nearly that good.

Quick bit of CC: Fluff wise, the original Tanith Regiment was all male, yeah? I don't think your Myska would be having any Tanith tattoos because she would have joined the 1st and Only after Vervunhive. Unless, of course, those are ganger tats that I see and not Tanith ones

I figure they all get ink after they join the regiment.

The Nalwood is very simple;

- Chaos & Scorched Basecoat.
- Add Bestial, draw thin lines and knots in one direction.
- Add more Bestial and retrace the lines
- Add Vomit Brown to the mix for the final highlights, trying to paint the lines as thin as poss.
- Wash with a thinned mix of the basecoat to dull everything together.

Incredible stuff! Your paint skills really do these models justice, particularly the soft skin tones you have achieved.

They just get better everytime I look. I love them, they are awesome.

The skin took some time to figure out but the method is;

Tallarn Flesh Basecoat
Dwarf Flesh Basecoat
Paint & Highlight Tattoos
Flesh Wash [Old School]
Dwarf Flesh
Dwarf + Bleached H/Ls

Gives it both a ruddy, healthy look and a bit drab. I found Ogyrn Flesh really useless and it washes out any depth of colour.
Also Elf flesh is too ochre.

These look fantastic, but the fluffnut inside me makes me wish the cloaks were piebald, like they are in the books.

Still though, fantastic stuff.
