What in the world are you talking about?
The Eldar have still, knowingly, diverted Ork Waaghs into major human systems to end a potential threat to dozens of Eldar lives--effectively killing billions to save dozens.
The Eldar have still raided, constantly, Imperial worlds.
The only race the (Craftworld at least) Eldar don't seem to fight is the Tau--and I'd be surprised if there's absolutely no instances of violence between the two.
Necrons have still killed entire worlds. You have to be seriously ignoring things to claim that the Necrons are friendlier than the Eldar.
Yes, the Eldar do lots of bad things. Which is why I think they come off crueler as current Necrons, who Ward is presenting as "misunderstood" for the most part. Also I don't think the Eldar would trade at all with lesser races.

Depends on the craft world/Exodite world.
I remeber some instances of Eldar trading with Rogue traders etc, back when.
Biel Tan would rather die than trade with humans, most likely, but that doesn't meant they all would. I can see Saim-Hann being a bit more laid back about it.
That said, why would they. They have no need of outside trade, so it's a bit of a straw man anyway

I think that the Ekdar are similar to Orks in that way. Some would trade with humans, but most would rather just smack them and take the stuff

Why would anyone be disgusted by humanity in 40k? Almost everyone in 40k who are not dicks in one capacity or another are failures and thus extinct. Acting like dickc by committing geno/xenoc-cide, maximum torture and such is pretty much a past time for 40k races.
|
Stated by Grey Templar:The Ward of the Codices
"It began, with the writing of the Great Codices,
2 were given to the Eldar. Immortal, Capricious, and most farsighted of all,
2 also to Chaos. Traitorous, Deceitful, Servants of the Dark Gods,
3 to the Xenos races. T'au, Orks, and Necrons. the Young, the Beast, and the Spiteful,
7 to the race of men. Servents of the God Emperor, the Inheritors of the Galaxy.
But they were all of them, decieved. for another Codex was written…
In the Land of Ward'or, in the Fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord Matthew wrote in secret, a Master Codex, to rule all the others. One by one, all the armies of the other Codices fell to the power of the Codex, and from this Darkness, none could see hope.
But there were some, who resisted. a Last Alliance of Men and Xenos took up arms against the forces of Ward'or and on the Slopes of Mount Doom they fought for the freedom of 40k." |

The Interex weren't disgusted by Humanity nor ancient or emotionless, they were humans who wished to reunite with their legendary ancestors from Earth, but were cautious for any signs of 'Kaos' taint. The only reason they turned on Horus was because of Erebus. Automatically Appended Next Post: TheAngrySquig wrote: Is their any race as old and disgusted by humanity, but not emotionless dicks? xxmatt85 wrote:Men of Iron? This would be a perfect idea! Ancient: Created in the Dark Age of Technology, were partly responsible for the Age of Strife. No race would be as old as the Necrontr though, unless you were to do an army of Old Ones, which created Humanity, and are extinct anyway. They'd only be suitable for single display models, anyway. Disguisted by humanity: The day to day lives of humans came to depend entirely on them. The Men of Iron were infinitely more intelligent than human beings, and might have came to regrd humanity with contempt, then disdain. Why should they be slaves to these lesser creatures? They were in every way surperior to their creators. Emotional: They would feel emotion, as the reason for rebellion was, probably, fueled by their indignity at being enslaved to primitive flesh creatures. There's also a theory as to the Void Dragon's influence being a factor in the rebellion. There's a thread with every piece of background there is about the Men of Iron with lots of spectulation, it's a really interesting read: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/401993.page I might steal that idea and do a Men of Iron army sometime in the future, maybe use the new Necrons for conversion.

Actually the Slann in 40k are a lot more fit than the fantasy Slann. Also I had another idea you could try for a mechanium army with the necrons.
