Ailaros wrote:Cats prefer "new" water, whenever they can get it. Use a bowl to water your plants and your cats will be on it to lick up whatever was left in the bottom. etc.
Just try leaving new cups and bowls of water near your paint area, and they'll go after them, rather than the passe paint water they've already drunk from.
My cat is just messing with me. I thought I would make some Chaos Dwarf resources (Ore, stones, wood, etc.). So, I was done with two resource bases (Ore, stone), and then they vanish. Where do I find them? With my cat in a dark corner in my living room 30 minutes later.

"Enemies of the Imperium, hear me. You have come here to die. The Immortal Emperor is with us and we are invincible. His soldiers will strike you down. His war machines will crush you under their treads. His mighty guns will bring the very sky crashing down upon you. You cannot win. The Emperor has given us his greatest weapon to wield. So make yourselves ready. We are the First Kronus Regiment, and today is our Victory Day."

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

My blog
Yes, mine also loves to drink paint water for some odd reasion. She shows up in the most random of places and gets rather mad when 'Her humans' don't fill up her food dish. She acts like she owns the place and is doing us a favour by letting use co-habitat with her and paying the rent.
When wiskers ( what her humans named her, I think her name is something along the lines of " She who must be worshiped daily by her slaves -humans- and talked to and told she is pretty, and good looking and is the best cat in the whole wide world) was a kitten my GF tells me she would jump up on the bookshelf in the living room and meow loudly then swat off things like pictures, crystal dragons basically anything she could get her paws on.... then would sit there and meow until someone gave her some attention.
So the moral of the story is cats are jerks and would trade you in, in a heartbeat, if it ment upgrading there suroundings and improving their comfort level.
I have some pics of her in random places, i'll see if I can find them, but always remember....
One of my cats is real bad about tipping over the paint water cup if I leave it on my desk. I don't know which one, because my cats are smart enough to know they get in trouble if they get caught on the desk so I never see them up there. Enough stuff gets knocked over or moved pretty much every day though so I know at least one of them gets up there when I'm not home or sleeping.
Cats can be strange like that. I had a cat who refused to drink fresh, clean water provided in a bowl daily and much preferred to drink from a puddle outside, for example.
One of my current cats, Gizmo, is a fiend for any unattended liquids. I have often come downstairs in the morning to find my paintbrush cleaning water has been drained. He also has a penchant for coffee; any unattended coffee mugs spotted usually have a furry head stuck in them within seconds.
I had a cat that would try to drink EVERYTHING (other than booze). Coffee, tea, soda, milk, and everything in between. Luckily, he didn't have interest in my models.
But, this topic reminds me of one on my favorite Oatmeal comics
Nah, I read that a few years ago, and I just happened to see this thread right after checking The Oatmeal for new comics (the new Thanksgiving one had me rolling)
