My wraithlist has performed solidly thus far, with only 3 scoring units.

As of now, it's still Anrakyr&ccb, a shackle DLord, 1x10 tesla eternals, 2x5 gauss immortals, 2 night scythes, 12 wraiths, some scarabs, 2 A barges and a single spider at 1850. At 2000 I've been bouncing back and forth between +1 scythe and +1 Spyder, or +A barge and +5 immortals.

I've been sorely tempted to cut the barges for more Night Scythes, and trading in some points for another immortal squad but so far the list is undefeated so I don't want to mess with it.

Meanwhile, anrakyr has almost always been effective - against IG he became such a high priority target that my wraiths were ignored for too long for my enemy to recover. Against SM, in one game, I used an immobilized vindicator in three successive rounds by stun-locking it with the A barges and MiTM'ing it. That was worth the 165 without a doubt.

Sorry man, I have to disagree, I run a squad of 10 eternals in my Anrakyr list and I've found the upgrade to be welcome, it's often the difference between losing and winning the first round of combat. Again, I still think he's a great complement to a wraith heavy list, and MiTM while Gimmicky is great.

One of the things I love about the Necron codex is the fact that there are so many ways to play it. I could see the 10 Eternals working in various instances, however I mainly use 6 or 7 man squads of Immortals as cleanup units and objective grabbers. I've been able to avoid CC with them so far. In a Wraith heavy list I'm surprised that you would take a 10 man Immortal unit at all.

As for MitM, I think you sum it up well with "gimmicky". It certainly can be great, but it just as easily can flop. It's very situational and army specific. If I could take MitM for 30 or less points as an upgrade, sure. Having to pay 65 total points to get wargear and an Immortal upgrade I wouldn't otherwise take, meh.

I kind of wish he was 30 points cheaper, and sans Tachyon Arrow. I think what we get for the 35 points is a pretty good deal, between his Furious charge, Counter Attack MitM and Immortal upgrade. The Tacyhon arrow, not so much.

I do agree, there are a lot of ways to play the new Necron Dex. I've found I'm starting to enjoy some of the "less competitive" units, like Deathmarks a lot now, myself.

How dare you speak ill of the fallen like that!

Anrakyr has been my go-to guy since Yakface posted the first rumours about him, and this really hurts. Now, if your argument is that his ability is wasted on Tyranids and Demons, then you are correct. However, here is a list of armies that Mind in the Machine was devastating against:

IG
Anything with LasPlas Razorbacks
Any mech list with Multimelta guns
Anything with Vindicators
Every single Apocalypse game
Tau

So, let's compare: my list of armies that Mind in the Machine is excellent against, versus Tyranids and Demons. Well, since the latter two comprise -just a guess- 3-5% of the tournament scene, I'd say that Mind in the Machine is incredibly useful. Against IG, one of the strongest armies and also one of the most popular, I would consider Anrakyr the Traveller to be akin to Death incarnate if you've ever seen Anrakyr force a Leman Russ drop its pie plate onto an IG power blob.
