Pretty sure ALL of us on this forum are Metalheads
I'm not. Sure, I like some of the stand-out artists, but metal doesn't make up a large proportion of what I listen to. For me, the problem with metal is that it's primarily driven by discourse and meta-discourse, as opposed to the music, which is, frankly, incredibly samey. Much more so than mainstream pop for example, which relies on novelty and innovation for obvious reasons. Metal, in contrast, relies upon the maintenance of its paradigmatic structure for its validation, meaning that that metal which is successful (in its attempts to 'be' metal) is that which does not radically challenge this structure. This is what leads to the incredibly tedious 'metal/not-metal' and 'petty generic definition' arguments so common amongst die-hard metallers.

I'm doing the same. The last concert I went to was Authority Zero, the one before that was Reel Big Fish/Streetlight Manifesto. The Voodoo Glow Skulls are coming to town, so I'll be seeing them also lol
EDIT: Plus, ska shows are just waaay more fun to go to

That would be 'all music' then?
To be fair there is SOME music that is as he described, mostly confined to dodgy youtube singers though.
I disagree, simply because 'auto-tune' requires a signal to be tuned, meaning that the music would consist of more than just auto-tune and a click track. Of course, you could always auto-tune the click. I've never heard anyone just do that on its own, but it would actually be quite interesting.

I saw Reel Big Fish and Streetlight just out of town myself a couple months back. It was amazing. Sadly I missed both the Koffin Kats and the Nekromantix due to surgery.

If you grow out of metal or are a ex-Metal Head you weren't one to begin with.

I missed Nekromantix, but I did get to see Big D and the Kids Table and the Koffin Kats. Both were amazing shows, and dirty cheap to go to haha.
Im not a metalheed, but this song is mint.. does that count?
We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.
I love metal, I usually listen to it in my car. I am partial to older stuff such as Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath but for the most part I am not too picky. I actually listen to more christian metal than anything else though.
Slayer and Motorhead are brilliant bands live. Ozzy was not that great live and Iron Maiden well for the duration of that show I believed in a god and his name was Eddie.
The guys from Amon Amarth are some of the nicest fellas you will ever meet though.
Remember folks when in San Fransisco go to the DNA lounge. During metal shows the bands hang out in the audience and you can just kick it with em.

The music I take a particular dislike to would be any music where you never see actual instruments at a gig and the singer jumps around like a chipmunk on meth whilst singing perfectly.

More have died in the name of normality than ever for strangeness. Beware of normal people.

I am a massive metalhead and spend most of my money on CD's, gigs and going to Festivals. I have been to the Metal holy land, Wacken (Ger) twice and would encourage anyone to go, as its simply the best festival I had been to in all regards.
This year I am going to Hellfest (fr) and Bloodstock (uk) and tons of local gigs around Manchester.
I prefer the more extreme metal, Death/Black/Thrash but I huge prog rock/metal fan too, Rush/Opeth/Mastodon etc. If its got guitars, a heavy bass line and some fething balls I will listen to it. Oh yeah I have actually see Bolt Thrower live (who are sick) so tat makes me an even bigger 40k geek.
DopShard
Death = Rip fething awesome.
Deicide = Seeing them at Bloodstock, Homage to Satan. lool
Municipal Waste = So much fun live, when you have a track called 'The Trashing of The Christ' you have my attention.
Celtic Frost = Not a fan tbh, Momotheist was good but not great. Triptykon are btter.
3 Inches of Blood = Pass, I saw then once but it didn't leave a mark on me,
Morbid Angel = Chapter of Ghouls is one of my favourite tracks, shame about the new album Freitod = Pass.
Dimmu Borgir = Used to be sick but meh now.
Aborted
Cannibal Corpse = The legends, go see them if you can.
Motorhead = Utter gak live, bored me to tears and they didn't play their better tracks.
Ozzy = See above. I do like Ozzy solo stuff but he is WAY pass it.
Manowar = No thanks.
Opeth = If we pretend they didn't turn all anti - death metal on the last album (apparently live too now) I do love opeth, so powerful live.
Amon Amarth = Viking metal at its finest
Enslaved = Quite good I need to listen to them more.
Heaven Shall Burn = Really good live but not that hot on CD
Killswitch Engage = Meh x 1000
Anthrax = I miss John Bush.
Metallica = Only 4 good album the rest a mega tosh but do put on a good show.
Slayer = I was on a train in holland coming back from a festival where Slayer played, the train announcer, streamed SLAYER' at ever stop instead of the names of the towns. That's all I need say.
Pantera = Rip, Dime.
Demon Hunter = Idk, I will check them out.
Rotting Christ
Gwar = Rip, very messy live, I got coved in monster penis juices. lool
Blind Guardian = Oh god, power metal.... even live they suck.
Iced Earth = See above.
This is my TOP. Not in order

I liked seeing Ozzy live, but the last time I saw him live it was like 1980something. Favoritest of all bands to see live is Iron Maiden, always manages to be the best show ever.

Touche, I somehow missed the lack of actual singing on that list
Love me some metal...
Several favorite bands in the spoilers.
As for that list... I actually like pretty much every band on it. I'll even admit to liking quite a bit of nu-metal, mostly Mushroomhead and Mudvayne's L.D. 50 album, though almost everything else they've done ranges from medicore to crap.
