How well does gay marriage poll in the black community? I think you might be surprised.

What might one argue that it says?

That the two movements have different goals, attract different types of supporters, or present entirely different issues.

Conflating the "gay rights" movement with the civil rights movements of the '60s and '70s might be good politics, but it's not accurate.

Difficult to pay them no heed when they are protesting at the funeral of children.

The gay rights movement is a group of people asking for civil rights for a certain part of the population.

They're not the same, of course, but they're not the same in the way that the French Revolution was not the American Revolution, but both were still revolutions.

That a movement based on civil rights is compared to a movement called the Civil Rights Movement is something you should expect.

Both of them are civil rights movements in the same way that WWII and WWI were both world wars.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I too cant wrap my head around this either. The sheer impossibility of them not being whacked yet in a land where people own guns is staggering.

Clearly, gun ownership doesn't work.

Perhaps because a super vast majority of legal gun owners understand you don't walk up to a person and cap them because you happen to disagree with them.

Could we "take them for a ride, " put white hoods on them, and drop them in the middle of Compton? Would it be wrong to put it on national TV or even better pay per view?

Should that be with "superior Weiner firepower"?

Are there lots of Weiner dogs in Compton?

Is this the real Fraz? 2 posts and NO mention of the mighty Weiner dog? Something is not right in the world....

Silencing them is a slippery slope, regardless of how much we disagree with them. It lets it be known that only certain people with certain views can talk. Which isn't freedom.

It reinforces their views and provides them with martyrdom (through ridicule).

The only thing that can be done is ignore them.

Beat them up. You won't be prosecuted.

You will. Its still assault.

Besides, it would be even worse in the UK. Where burglars can sue for damages when they hurt themselves braking into a house.

Mitigating circumstances. It's very unlikely you'd be charged.

I know its the daily mail, which is the cancer of papers but...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-474025/Burglar-dies-falling-floor-window-following-confrontation-homeowner.html

Theres probably similar cases in America of donkey-caves getting good people imprisoned/charged/arrested.

Its best to avoid all that.

Once we can all collectively do that, I feel they would "go away" or escalate to a point they'd be stopped.

I loved how the people in Brandon, Mississippi handled these whackos back in April of last year when they came to town to protest a Marine's funeral....

A couple of days before, one of them (Westboro protestors) ran his mouth at a Brandon gas station and got his arse waxed. Police were called and the beaten man could not give much of a description of who beat him. When they canvassed the station and spoke to the large crowd that had gathered around, no one seemed to remember anything about what had happened.

Rankin County handled this thing perfectly. There were many things that were put into place that most will never know about and at great expense to the county.

Most of the morons never made it out of their hotel parking lot. It seems that certain Rankin county pickup trucks were parked directly behind any car that had Kansas plates in the hotel parking lot and the drivers mysteriously disappeared until after the funeral was over. Police were called but their wrecker service was running behind and it was going to be a few hours before they could tow the trucks so the Kansas plated cars could get out.

A few made it to the funeral but were ushered away to be questioned about a crime they might have possibly been involved in. Turns out, after a few hours of questioning, that they were not involved and they were allowed to go on about their business.
