Hay, he did the IG codex and thats a pretty well rounded codex, Mat Ward on the other hand.
Well Rounded? The codex that spawned the nickname "Leaf Blower" for a certain list, and is filled with some of the most ridiculously undercosted units in the game (Such as Vendettas). I fail to see how it's "Well rounded" at all.
Cruddace also Wrote Nids and SoB. I would much rather Ward have wrote my Tyranids than Cruddace.
While Ward may have went overboard on the GK codex a bit, Space Marines, Blood Angels, and Necrons are all very solidly written dexes. So I'll take the 3/4 to the 0/3 for Cruddace.

Cut back Tau space significantly in the fluff. Put them right on the knife edge of annihilation, then have the Ultrasmurfs fly in and save them from 'Nids, before they swear allegiance to Emprah, throwing Aun'va down a chasm 300 style.
Thus, Farsight becomes the big bad HQ for Tau.
Damn, that sounds like an improvement!

Tau armies new slogan: "For the greater profit!"
Tau armies aren't just able to take human auxiliaries, they are required too.
GW recommends purchasing a imperial guardsman box and a tau firewarrior box and gluing them together to make your new units.
Tau markerlights now require a token to mark their use, $10 for 5.
Shield drones are now sold seperatly in their own box, $30 for 5, and have only one random weapon our of the entire codex, per drone.
Meaning outfitting a tank or a squad with the proper weapons would mean you have to buy two boxes.
Firewarriors have a reduction in points cost, meaning you can field more of them! But you have to spend another 30 bucks on another squad to play at whatever point value you army was already at previously.
Or 60, considering they'll need shield drones.
Tau earth, water, and air cast models are designed, and must be placed on the tabel with any reserve units to represent the tau "working together" to solve a problem.
They benefit to having them is being able to deep strike, which is removed in the new codex on most units that previously could naturally.

Also, if we add klingons, we have to add the Worf effect, in which to showcase the power of a character, the kilingon will always get beaten up. If fired upon, or attacked in CC by an IC, all Klingon units become T2, S2, Int2.

Actually, if you simply count the number of units that suck and that are actually good you will find that most of the IG codex is pretty rank.
It just has a fething carpload of units in it to where the few that are actually pretty good can make a very competitive army. If you made a spreadsheet of all the possable types of IG army, most builds would suck.
Examples: Rough Riders, Ogryns, Conscripts, Ratlings, about 3/4 of the Lemun Russ varients, Stormtroopers...
Cruddance writes horribly balanced codices, just put enough units in the codex and the law of averages will eventually give you a playable codex.
