I find truesilver to be something to use if you know you will be fighting GK, Nids.or Daemons. Even theb it is just something to fill out 10-20 pts when you have got all the grenades and master crafted everything.

But it is a flyer so would it even help the Stormraven?

How can you not know?

You can hit fliers in melee, unless it's an apoc game.

Furthermore, force weapons hurt GK vs demons. Anything with a blessing of the blood god upgrades has a 2+ invul vs all force weapons, or everything GK has. I enjoy watching the demons win vs GK at my FLGS.

Flamers destroy grey knights as well. So do bloodletters that get to swing, and... pretty much everything in the chaos book but some of the nurgle stuff will wreck GK. If anything, the GK need help vs demons.

Also the death corps are heretics. Said so on the wiki.

No, they were heretics. They are loyal now, following an extensive nuking of their homeworld. Be sure to read the whole article.

Truesilver is also fun vs Eldar as it can discourage those warlock jetbike units from trying to witchblade your dreads to death.

When you only have say 10pts left to spend, it's always a decent buy to slap onto your dread/s if you've already maxed out your other options. It's honestly a great buy on a more agressive dreadnought like an psycan/psyflame or rainman build - pretty much makes half the crap that will carve up your dread in assaults cry! (all synapse creatures, anything 'daemon', defilers, soul grinders, avatar, eldar witchblades...)
Basically leaves you fearing only power fists or a few units with rending attacks, a handfull of MC's and krak/melta grenades in assaults.

The daeth korps are not heretics they had a 500 year atomic perging aginst heretics on their homeworld, that is why they wear the gasmasks.
