From the bottom of our hearts, we'd like to say THANK YOU to everyone who has backed us so far. If we weren't working our butts off on our new game, we'd be dancing around the Closet (our tiny office) with tears of joy streaming down our faces. Instead, the team is heads-down at their computers, sniffling loudly and wiping their eyes with their shirt-sleeves.

Just thought I'd throw out an update, the project is at nearly $600,000 at the time of this post. I'm really hoping it breaks the one million mark in the next 22 days, because they're apparently adding a second city to the game and quote, "kick-ass music."

Now I'm all excited for this thing. This project's growth is phenomenal. (And yes, I did see Double Fine Adventures' kickstarter)

I got an update saying they will support a mac version on the $15 dollar reward. but with Kickstarter, you can't apparently change a reward once it's been put up.

I just gave them $15.
I loved playing the pen and paper game (minus the matrix/decker stuff because it was boooooring) and the genesis game.

Really looking forward to playing it

Just want to say (because I never get tired of a chance to link these guys ) that the F Plus Podcast did an episode on Kickstarter, looking at some projects that didn't work. NSFW here.

As they point out, Kickstarter is a legitimately good way for a small company to earn money for a project, and it really works in cases like Double Fine Adventures and Shadowrun Returns. But if you really look into the site, there's all kinds of just stupid ideas and pipe dreams that'll never go anywhere.

Oh yeah. I've actually seen people propose user funding become the dominate form for game development whish is just dumb. No one will ever be able to get user to generate millions to fund huge blockbusters like Call of Duty or Elder Scrolls. Let alone how will you generate funding for fresh IP from a developer with no history?

What it does do is offer a really effective means to find small-medium scale projects.

Just thought I'd throw out that Shadowrun Returns has officially hit the 1 million mark, meaning the game will feature two cities to do runs in.

I see this as another reason to invest in a tablet ^^

I am not going to lie, this company is doing a great service to the gaming community. But I hope they do not go "too far".

I think I will be watching this company, and the game, in the future.
