I don't think that this will succeed, after browsing a few online gaming news sites i haven't seen a thing about this game.

What they should have done was spent a few weeks trying to hype up interest in the game on various gaming media sites (Rock paper shotgun, Kokatu, PC gamer Etc,). just like DoubleFine and Wasteland 2 did.

Hopefully im wrong, and the powers of the internet make it happen.

I wish it luck but the minimum backing is too high.
I myself and Most people who have iPads/iPhones/Androids won't pay $15 for any app/game.

A minimum backing of $5 for a iPad download and I'd have backed this.

I love the $10,000 rewards. Everything previously mentioned, plus one of the lead developers comes to your home town and runs a game of Shadowrun with you and your buddies.

Did this project go up on April 1?

They'll honestly just see me playing Minecraft, most of the time. Other than that, I'm writing 40k Fluff, going on Dakka, or writing rules for 40k.

Wow, a lot more negative response than I expected. To be honest, I don't see how it won't succeed as it has over 50K of funding in just the first few hours.

Just because a game is being made for mobile platforms, doesn't mean that it can't be a serious game. After all the supernintendo game and genisis game were both great IMHO.

Holy feth! When I clicked on OP (right before posting ITT) they had less than $9k. As of beginning to write this post, they're just shy of $109k.

Yeah it was $9K when I last looked, and by the gods, someone has paid the $10K to have him come round and play a game of Shadowrun.

Now over $152k!!!

Oh and chowder, if you look at the FAQ, it says what will happen if they go beyond the target goal.

Their first stretch will be MAC support at $425'000.

The newest books are of great quality. It has a wonderful, authentic 80s cyberpunk flavor that other franchises can't seem to capture.

Oh its Cyberpunk? Awesome! I love cyberpunk, it has to be my favorite type of sci fi. Does it have malevolent AIs like in System Shock?

Yeah it's cyberpunk plus high fantasy. So there are dragons running megacorps.

There were true AIs but in the current setting no one knows whether they still exist.

You know that's only true in the business world, right? Private consumer sales are at about 25% Mac and growing. And I don't necessarily agree with the can't run thing, either.

I am not going to pledge until I get home, but I am definitely going to pledge. This and Wasteland 2 just make me so happy. I am quickly becoming addicted to Kickstarter. Oh and Mobile Frame Zero is looking good too, but that is table top.

Oh and if it hit 425 they said they will do a Mac port I believe

So far I have backed three projects. It will be nice to actually receive some of these "goodies" (i.e., the items I conceived of myself as purchasing).

I admit, I'm getting tempted by this one, really like the setting, it seems odd I never got around to picking up the RPG, but I've enjoyed two novels.

The newest anthology, Spells & Chrome, is pretty good.

Mother of god, up to almost $260k now. Apparently Shadowrun has some fans
