I wouldn't put it past some of the things they have down in Australia.

They have a mammal with a poisonous spur, a bill and which lays eggs. It puts GWs Chaos monsters to shame.

I do not see it. Some of the new Necron stuff is very, very cyber heavy. Taking ques from Manga and the matrix style. The nids also drawl from insect life forms and the like, so there will also be base of smailaties in some ways. always have been.

In things like the wraiths I do not see Tyrnids, I see the attack drones from the matrix.

No, the next terrain kit from GW will be called 'Skullvane temple of skulls'. It consists of a large skull made out of smaller skulls, which are in turn also made from smaller skulls.
The kit will also include a sprue of skulls-on-spikes which you can use to optionally dedicate your Skullvane temple of skulls to the ruinous powers

Looks more like a floating Carnifex. Which Tyranids did a whole edition ago. Even the curve of the head to body to tail is the same as the Carnifex torso.

You should have stopped while you were ahead. The term "bug" refers to a specific group *within* the larger group known as insects. Since arachnids are not even insects... your analysis is, if anything... even farther off than the (bug) OP.

(in the U.S., we'd call that an "F" in science.)

Not surprised. Just angry.

"If you really want to know what it was like, to fight in the air in the great War, then go up to someone you have never met and who has never done you the slightest harm and pour a two-gallon tin of petrol over them. Then apply a match, and when they are nicely ablaze, push them from a fifteenth-floor window after first perhaps shooting them a few times in the back with a revolver. And be aware as you are doing these things that ten seconds later someone else will quite probably do them to you. This will exactly reproduce... the substance of First World War aerial combat and will cost your country nothing. It will also avoid the necessity of ten million other people to die in order for you to enjoy it."

Honestly, Wraiths/Spyders is how I want the Necrons to look ascetically. I am disappointed that GW went with the Space Egyptians rather then a machine army theme. It's really not relevant that the Necrons are machines, they're basically the Protoss with metal bodies. They need a more machine feel.

Well, the similarity can't possibly make me feel any better about them. I think we can all agree that GW takes its inspiration from many sources, but I'd prefer that they restrict themselves to good source material.

"If you really want to know what it was like, to fight in the air in the great War, then go up to someone you have never met and who has never done you the slightest harm and pour a two-gallon tin of petrol over them. How dare you insult GW like that, all their inspiration is entirely original and wholy owned by them. Anybody else making space knights and stuff is clearly inspired by GW.

I wholeheartedly agree.

From dictionnary.com:

BUG

1. Referrering to a true bug, a hemipteran, hemipteron.

2. (loosely) any insect or insect-like invertebrae

So, if we want to be vocabulary nazis, bugs are insects, therefore spiders are not bugs. And Spyders are not mechnized insects.
